Here is a quick guide on how to unlock Ultimate Ajax in The First Descendant. Our The First Descendant Ajax Build also works with the Ultimate Ajax version.

The Ultimate Ajax version has slightly better stats and unique Modules that only the ultimate version can equip.

There are two ways to get Ultimate Ajax:

Purchase via Ingame Store
Unlock via Research

Purchase Ultimate Ajax in the Store

The first and by far the quickest way to unlock Ultimate Ajax is to purchase him for real money in the in-game store. This is useful if you want to play the character right away and don’t mind paying for it, but it is quite expensive for what you get, so you may instead want to unlock the character in-game (more on that below). Unlock Ultimate Ajax with Research

The other way to unlock Ultimate Ajax is by researching him. This requires a range of items to be looted and created beforehand, and they are quite time-consuming to obtain. But if you’re willing to put in the time and effort, it’s certainly feasible to unlock Ultimate Ajax just by playing the game.

Researching Ultimate Ajax requires the following four items:

The first three items must be researched by collecting another four items for each. Visit Anais in Albion to perform research projects in The First Descendant. The research for each item takes 18 hours and costs 450,000 gold to complete. The fourth item does not need to be researched and can simply be looted.

Once you’ve got all the required items, you can do the final research for Ultimate Ajax, which costs 900,000 gold and takes 36 hours to complete.

Ultimate Ajax Enhanced Cells

The Ultimate Ajax Enhanced Cells require the following items to research:

969 Silicon – Resource and Munition Boxes in Echo Swamp
656 Flectorite – Resource and Munition Boxes in White-Night Gulch
98 Balanced Plasma Battery – Mission Monsters in Heart of the Fortress and Quarantine Zone, in Fortress (Normal or Hard)
1 Ultimate Ajax Enhanced Cells Blueprint – Any of the following:

Hard Executioner Intercept Battle – Requires Amorphous Material Pattern 057
Normal Void Fusion Reactor – White-Night Gulch Hatchery
Hard Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor – Fortress Fallen Ark

Ultimate Ajax Stabilizer

The Ultimate Ajax Stabilizer requires the items below:

919 Ceramic Composite – Resource and Munition Boxes in White-Night Gulch
682 Hellion – Resource and Munition Boxes in Fortress
62 Anode Ion Particle – Mission Monsters in Normal Hagios
1 Ultimate Ajax Stabilizer Blueprint – Any of the following locations:

Hard Frost Walker Intercept Battle – Requires Amorphous Material Pattern 116
Hard Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor – Sterile Land Repository
Hard Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor – Hagios Fractured Monolith

Ultimate Ajax Spiral Catalyst

The Ultimate Ajax Spiral Catalyst requires the following items:

817 Nanopolymers – Resource and Munition Boxes in Agna Desert
1,039 Shape Memory Alloy – Resource and Munition Boxes in Hagios
91 Fusion Plasma Battery – Mission Monsters in Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost and Classified Area: Vulgus Strategic Outpost, in Normal Sterile Land
1 Ultimate Ajax Spiral Catalyst Blueprint – Any of the below:

Hard Swamp Walker Intercept Battle – Amorphous Material Pattern 094 Required
Hard Molten Fortress Intercept Battle – Amorphous Material Pattern 124 Required
Hard Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor – White-Night Gulch Mountaintops

Ultimate Ajax Code

The Ultimate Ajax Code is the fourth and final required item. Unlike the previous three, it does not have to be researched and can be directly obtained from any of the following sources:

Hard Dead Bride Intercept Battle – Requires Amorphous Material Pattern 066
Hard Devourer Intercept Battle – Requires Amorphous Material Pattern 078
Hard Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor – Agna Desert Vermillion Waste

Once you’ve obtained and researched all of the parts, return to Anais in Albion to research Ultimate Ajax. Once it’s complete, you need to confirm the research and Ultimate Ajax will be added to your pool of playable Descendants!
