LovelyEmotes – EmoteModification (1.0)

This tool is designed to easily modify the emote data of LovelyEmotes.
Since version 5.0 of LovelyEmotes, the ability to rename emotes was removed. The reason is that the corresponding file were reset with each update, meaning users had to manually copy a backup into the Modifications folder.
This was not very user-friendly, and this addon aims to change that.
Depends on:
LovelyEmotes 5.0 or greater
Features:
– Renaming emotes
– User Interface: This addon provides an user interface that allows you to easily create entries to customize emotes.
– Automatic Adjustment: As long as the addon is active in the game, the emote data from LovelyEmotes will be automatically overwritten at game startup.
Importing Old Modifications:
If you have made changes before LovelyEmotes 5.0 was released and still have your old “EmoteDataMod.lua” file, you can place it directly into the folder of this addon. With a simple chat command, you can import the old entries:
– Merge: To combine the entries from your file with existing entries (entries from the file will overwrite identical data), type the command /lemodifyemotedata merge in the chat.
– Replace: To delete all existing entries and only keep the entries from the file, type the command “/lemodifyemotedata replace” in the chat.
If my explanation of the merge and replace functions is unclear, use the merge command. 😉
Once you have imported your old entries, the modification menu will open and show you the result. You no longer need your old file since your entries are now stored in the SavedVariables folder.
