Executioner Colossus Overview

Executioner is a Colossus boss that can be fought in a Void Intercept Battle in The First Descendant. The recommended level for taking on the Executioner is level 34.

Void Intercept Battles can be quite difficult, especially for newer players. This is because the bosses have powerful attacks and large amounts of HP, and you will fail the mission if the timer runs out or if more than three deaths occur during the battle. For these reasons, proper preparation is essential!

You should ensure your Descendant is equipped with good defensive Modules that boost your HP, Shield and DEF (at least two is recommended). It’s also important to note the elemental attacks and resistances of Executioner, and adjust your build correctly.

Executioner’s attacks deal Electric damage, so you should add at least one Descendant Module that gives you resistance to Electric damage.

Executioner is resistant to Lightning and Fire damage, so replace any Weapon Modules that add Lightning or Fire ATK, and consider switching to a character that does not use Lightning or Fire damage for their skills (Bunny and Blair, for example, are poorly suited to fighting Executioner).

However, Executioner is very weak to Toxic damage, so if you have a Descendant that deals Toxic damage with their skills (such as Freyna), you should consider switching to them. Also, you can equip Weapon Modules that add Toxic ATK to your shots, which will considerably improve your DPS output when fighting against Executioner.

It’s important not to neglect this preparation because if you can’t stay alive or can’t do enough DPS to bring the boss down, your team also loses out, not just you.

Now that we’ve covered the prerequisites of the Executioner Void Intercept Battle in the First Descendant, we will move on and explain the attacks and mechanics of this boss.

Executioner Mechanics and Attacks Guide – The First Descendant

In this section, we will explain the mechanics and attacks that you’ll need to deal with when fighting Dead Bride in TFD. Remember to press TAB during the battle to highlight the Weak Points of the boss. Hitting these Weak Points deals extra damage, and destroying them will momentarily stun the boss and make the battle easier. If possible, you should try to grapple these Weak Points, as this does more damage to the boss than simply destroying them with gunfire.

Blue Lasers – Executioner’s basic attack is a blue laser, which he will repeatedly fire from his arm at a player. If the boss is currently targeting you with this, you should take cover until he focuses on someone else.
Humming Birds – Several robots, called Humming Birds, will tether to the boss with a beam and slowly heal him. You can destroy the Humming Birds to counteract this effect. They will respawn after a while, though.
King Fishers – Another set of additional enemies that appear throughout this fight. They will follow players and attack with their spinning blades. When destroyed, they drop ammo and HP.
Beam – This is similar to the Blue Laser attack mentioned above, but a more dangerous version of it. The Executioner will fire a prolonged blue laser beam at a player, dealing heavy damage if it hits. Make sure to take cover or evade the beam.
Lightning Warp – The boss turns blue, becoming immune to damage (except for the red part on top of his head). Your screen will turn white, and you’ll be teleported into the air. You’ll fall to the ground with a large blue AoE beneath you. You should use your grappling hook to avoid falling in the AoE, otherwise you’ll take heavy damage.
Lightning Strikes – Lightning strikes will rapidly occur around the arena, marked by a small blue AoE just before they land. Make sure to keep moving around and steer clear of these AoEs. They are quite easy to avoid as long as you’re paying attention.
Blue Orbs – Executioner will sometimes throw blue lightning orbs at players. Take cover or dodge them to avoid getting hit.

The Executioner Void Intercept Battle features a range of hard-hitting attacks that can be dangerous to unwary players. However, once you’ve learned all of the attacks, you shouldn’t have too many problems with this boss, as long as your reaction times are decent and you keep paying attention to what’s going on around you. Try not to get sucked into a “tunnel vision” where you spend too much time looking down the scope of your weapon, as this can easily get you killed if you miss an incoming attack.
