A simple encoder for chat messages which serves two main goals:Prevent your messages from being flagged by automated systems for using “bad” words.Allow to have a “safe” chat with your friends in /say, /yell, /me channels when using a secret keyword (only those who know the keyword can understand your messages).This addon uses a simple encoding algorithm which converts a string like “Hello there!” to something like “Kemmp wiete!” preserving the original alphabet and sentence structure, so encoded messages still look “human”. The downside is they are easy to decode, but it’s not really a downside, because we also don’t want to fill the chat with random characters for people who don’t have the addon.By default only these chat channels are encoded: /say, /yell, /me, /group, /w (whisper). When the channel is being encoded, other players won’t be able to understand you without SafeChat enabled. You can choose which channels to encode by clicking on the icon near the chat input box (see screenshots). Currently only digits and english letters are encoded, but it shouldn’t be a problem to add other languages later.P.S. This addon is not meant to avoid getting banned for violating TOS. If another player with this addon installed finds your message inappropriate, then they still can report you. The main goal is to avoid automatic bans for random words in conversations with your friends, group members or roleplay partners :rolleyes: You can read more about this issue in this forum thread.
