Destiny 2: The Call God Rolls and How to Get

Out of all the weapons released during Season 24, one stands out among its peers in Destiny 2: The Call. A Strand Rocket-Assisted Frame sidearm for the Kinetic slot released in Season 24, the second of its kind after Indebted Kindness in Season 23.
This weapon has been making waves within the Destiny 2 community upon launch for its incredible performance and ease of acquisition.
Destiny 2’s The Call is one of the most popular weapons currently thanks to its high damage, good ammo economy, and just being extremely versatile in general. It can be found in the hands of many Guardians as there’s something for everybody when it comes to the weapon, from casual Guardians to the most competitive, even in Raids. The only exception to this are PVP situations.
How to get The Call in Destiny 2
Acquiring The Call requires you to purchase The Final Shape expansion in Destiny 2. You can acquire the weapon through random drops in the Pale Heart. This includes rewards during the main campaign, any chests in the region, and Pale Heart Engrams.
How to Craft The Call in Destiny 2
You do not need to purchase The Witch Queen expansion for crafting in Destiny 2.
The Call can be crafted by acquiring 5 red border versions of the weapon which are randomly dropped, weekly Deepsight weapon focusing, or by applying 5 Deepsight Harmonizers to copies of the weapon.

Recommended Combinations
Demolitionist + Desperate Measures
This combination allows you to keep throwing grenades and also reloads your weapon at the same time. When combined with Desperate Measures, weapon kills, grenade kills, and melee kills improve your damage further.
Lead From Gold + One For All/Vorpal
Lead From Gold is great way to replenish your ammo as you don’t need to go hunting for special ammo as much since you’ll be double dipping through heavy ammo. One For All is generally a good pick for The Call as it’s really easy to proc when there’s multiple enemies around. Vorpal is essentially a damage increase on bosses which could come in handy when you run out of heavy ammo.
Subsistence + One For All
Subsistence allows the weapon to be reloaded on kill, when combined with One For All that increases damage on multiple targets hit it essentially creates a loop where as long as there’s multiple enemies you don’t have to reload while shooting at them.
Slice + Hatchling
Ideal for Strand builds and to reduce damage of enemies in harder content through Slice. Hatchling can trigger not just through precision kills, but also with 3 quick kills which would be easy with The Call due its nature as an AOE weapon.
Strategist + Anything
This one is geared towards Titans as Strategist activates your class ability which synergizes with the Exotic Hazardous Propulsion – this Exotic has a chance to load a rocket on weapon kills, and activates the class ability to fire it, Hazardous Propulsion also increases rocket damage which also includes The Call.
Conclusion of The Call in Destiny 2
Destiny 2’s The Call has many different combinations to fit various playstyles, you really can’t go wrong with a lot of the available perks. There’s a God roll for every Guardian in Destiny 2. As of right now it’s the most popular weapon in the game and was even brought onto the World’s First race of Salvation’s Edge in many groups.
The only downsides to the weapon is that it’s undeniably geared towards PVE rather than PVP due to the projectile speed and potential lack of ammo. The desirable perks also require you to get kills before they trigger which could prove challenging in a PVP scenario.
