Update Log
Welcome to the ESO Dragonknight PVP Build “Legion” for Elder Scrolls Online. Make sure to bookmark the link as I will keep updating the build for each new Update of ESO.
The ESO Stamina Dragonknight Build is optimized for Cyrodiil and Battlegrounds, you will find setups for both activities on this page. Dragonknights are very tanky and therefore it will be beneficial to use a Two-hander and Sword & Board setup. We use the 2H bar to deal damage and the Sword & Shield bar for our defense.
The ESO Stam DK PVP Build is focusing on high burst damage. The build can also take a punch thanks to our defensive and healing-focused back bar. Our two main sets are Plaguebreak and Clever Alchemist in combination with the Balorgh Monster Set to increase our burst damage immensely. We also run a Mythic item called Markyn Ring of Majesty. However, there are also alternative set options listed if you don’t have access to all of the sets just mentioned.
Cyrodiil & Battlegrounds
Heavy Armor 2H/S&B
Crazy Burst Damage
Strong Healing
Good Sustain
Very Tanky
Cyrodiil Setup ESO Dragonknight PVP Build
Now let’s take a look at the overall setup that you want to follow to create the Stam DK PVP Build for ESO.
5x Plague (2H bar), 5x Alchemist (S&B bar), 2x Balorgh, 1x Markyn Ring of Majesty, 1x Trainee on a Nord with Artaeum Takeaway Broth buff food.
Unbuffed: Out of combat, Buff-food, Major Savagery active.
Buffed: In Combat, Buff-food, Tri-Stat Potion, Weapon Damage Enchantment, Balorgh proc (Spell Wall), Alchemist proc, Major Resolve, Forward Momentum active.
Gear Setup Stam DK PvP
Below you can find the gear setup for the Stam DK PVP Build. You can always adjust the gear to your needs.
Our S&B bar is for defense and our Two hander bar is for offense.
On the Two hander offensive bar we have Plaguebreak active.
On the S&B defensive bar we have Clever Alchemist active. Make sure to activate potions ALWAYS when you are on the S&B bar, to gain the damage boost from the Alchemist proc.
A good alternative to Balorgh would be Bloodspawn.
Gear Setup with Mythic
Instead of 1x Armor of Trainee, you could also use 1x Druid’s Braid which is a lot easier to get because it is craftable.
Important: You need to drink your potion on the Sword and Shield bar, because Alchemist only does have all 5 pieces on that bar. Afterwards, the Alchemist buff is active you can freely swap bars.

Slot 1: Cauterize
Slot 1: Forward Momentum
Slot 2: Volatile Armor
Slot 2: Noxious Breath
Slot 3: Venomous Claw/ Flex Spot
Slot 3: Dizzying Swing
Slot 4: Fragmented Shield
Slot 4: Executioner
Slot 5: Resolving Vigor
Slot 5: Camouflaged Hunter
Ultimate: Spell Wall
Ultimate: Take Flight
Skills explanation:
Cauterize: Really strong burst heals that will go on you every 5 seconds, you can re-apply it early to gain a faster burst heal.
Volatile Armor: Has to be up all the time, gives you a huge resistance buff (Major Resolve) and also increases your overall incoming healing due to the passives of the skill tree.
Venomous Claws: Very strong Damage Over Time effect, should always be applied to the target you are attacking. You can use other abilities here if you want. Race Against Time would be a good fit here too to increase your mobility.
Fragmented Shield: Gives us a small shield, ultimate points and Major Mending extra healing. Always use this after you activate Vigor to get the extra healing boost.
Resolving Vigor: You have to keep this up during combat, this is your main heal. If you do not keep up your heal you will die.
Spell Wall: This is your defensive ultimate. It allows you to permablock and reflects all ranged attacks back to the enemy.
Forward Momentum: Applies snare and root immunity, Major Brutality and Minor Endurance, increasing your Weapon Damage and Stamina Recovery.
Noxious Breath: Deals nice direct damage, applies a damage over time effect and debuffs the enemy with Major Breach, decreasing their resistances. Also procs the Plaguebreak set on enemies.
Dizzying Swing: Your main damage tool, has a small cast time attached to and can set enemies off-balance.
Executioner: Deals high execute damage on enemy close to death, use this to finish off enemies. (If you want more splash damage, use the other morph Reverse Slice)
Camouflaged Hunter: Applies Major Savagery and Minor Berserk buff, this is only passively slotted.
Take Flight: This is your main ultimate, it has high burst damage and also restores resources because of the Battle Roar passive.
Scribing Skills
The ESO Scribing System offers plenty of adjustable skills to add to our build. You can test out the skills below and see if they work for you. They are mostly here to annoy the enemy by stunning or immobilizing them.
Important: Please read here how to get Grimoires, Focus Scripts, Signature Scripts and Affix Scripts for the ESO Scribing system.
Base Scribing Skill useful to our build:
Two Handed: Smash (Repelling Smash)
World: Soul Burst (Leashing Burst)
Repelling Smash
Smash turns into Repelling Smash scribing skill, knocks enemies back and stuns them. Additionally, it also immobilizes them and interrupts their casting. Especially the stun and immobilization combo is super annoying to deal with. You get stunned, then you have to break free and you are still stuck in place.
Focus Script
Signature Script
Affix Script
Leashing Burst
Wield Soul turns into Leashing Burst. After 2 seconds, this pulls enemies to you within 8 meters. Also applies Oblivion damage to any enemy hit and interrupts their casting. You can change Interrupt to something else if you want. The main appeal of the skill is to pull enemies in after 2 seconds and then hit them and attack them with our combo.

Signature Script
Affix Script

Important Info for Stamina Dragonknight Build PvP
Buff-food
The main buff food that we use is the Artaeum Takeaway Broth which buffs our max health, max stamina and health and stamina recovery that we need. You can also use the less expensive version Dubious Camoran Throne if you want. A secondary option would be the Lava Foot Soup and Saltrice buff food which focuses more on max stamina and stamina recovery.
Artaeum Takeaway Broth
(Max Stamina, Max Health, Stamina Recovery, Health Recovery)
Dubious Camoran Throne
(Max Stamina, Max Health, Stamina Recovery, Health Recovery)
Lava Foot Soup and Saltrice
(Max Stamina, Stamina Recovery)
Mundus Stone
I recommend running the Serpent Mundus Stone to get more Stamina Recovery. You can learn more about all the other Mundus Stones on the Mundus Stone Overview Page.
The Serpent Mundus Stone (Increased Stamina Recovery)
Race
All stamina-based races work with this setup, I do prefer Nord because it gives us more resistance and faster ultimate regeneration as well as max health and max stamina. More about each race can be found on the racial overview page.

Resource Management Stam DK PVP Build
Battle Roar activates whenever we use either one of our Ultimates. You have to learn to calculate that in to manage your resources better.
Helping Hands procs every time we use Fragmented Shield, you will gain extra Stamina and also extra healing because of the Major Mending buff from the skill.
Combustion procs whenever you apply a poisoned status effect on the enemy, for example from our Venomous Claw skill.
Heavy Attacks restore a big amount of resources too if you hit the enemy. If you hit an off-balance enemy due to Dizzying Swing you can even regain twice the amount from a Heavy Attack.
Tri-Stat potions are another important way to regain Health, Magicka and Stamina with one button press. You will find how to craft these in the potion section of the build further below. Make sure to have the Medicinal Use passive from the Alchemy crafting skill line to gain the full benefit of potions!
Battle Roar passive
Helping Hands passive
Combustion passive
Heavy Attacks
Potions
In case you still lack sustain, you can always add a Stamina Recovery or a Stamina Cost Reduction glyph to the jewelry and remove a Weapon Damage glyph.
Battlegrounds Stamina Dragonknight PvP Build
We have to make small adjustments to the Battlegrounds setup for the Stamina Dragonknight PvP Build. In Battlegrounds the Champion Points are deactivated, therefore resource management is a lot harder. Therefore we are changing the Mundus Stone and the jewelry enchantments.
Instead of Weapon Damage on our jewelry, we are going to use a 2x Stamina Recovery and 1x Stamina Cost Reduction glyph.
