Frequently Asked Questions
What are ESO Golden Pursuits?
ESO Golden Pursuits are limited-time campaigns which reward you with collectibles like Crown Crates, Costumes, Pets, Mounts, Currencies, Meals and much more. Golden Pursuits was created to get players involved in different parts of the game and add topical activities to events and more. The themes might be centered around PvP, Housing, Dungeons, exploring Tamriel or whichever topics the developers feel like highlighting to the player base.
All Golden Pursuits have been designed so you are able to complete them within the limited time-frame of the campaign. They might have long breaks between the campaigns, but when they are active you will always see it in the Announcement panel and the Activity Finder.
Simply put: you can think of ESO Golden Pursuits as Endeavors++
The activities, rewards and durations will vary depending on the Campaign. This means you might get extra rewards like Undaunted Keys for completing 1 dungeon or riding speed upgrades from completing 1 Battleground.
Zenimax has mentioned that they have gathered data from player feedback and reviewed how other similar systems have performed to make Golden Pursuits exciting and rewarding for the players.
How Golden Pursuits in ESO work
Where are Golden Pursuits
There will be a new category under the current Group & Activity Finder called “Golden Pursuits”. The text and the icon will glow golden when the System is active. Currently there is no mention of any requirements for Golden Pursuits, like an ESO plus subscription or a purchase and seems like everyone will have access to the new system.
Golden Pursuits are time-limited
You will have a limited time to complete the activities and earn their rewards. The campaigns might last 7 or 14 days. Unlike Endeavors, you can complete all available activities. The order you complete the activities does not matter. With Daily Endeavors you have a choice of 6 activities but can only complete 3, but with Golden Pursuits you have a choice of 12-13 activities and can complete all of them, as long as it is done within the time limit.
How to track activity progress
You can pin one activity by clicking the pin icon on its left side. You can only pin one activity at a time adding it under the quest tracker on the top right corner making it easier to track your progress. You can track or untrack an activity at any time.
Claiming Golden Pursuit Rewards
Once you have completed activities that have rewards, there will be a popup on your screen saying “You’ve earned a Golden Pursuit Reward!” with “F” being the “Claim Reward” button by default on PC. You can claim all available rewards by pressing “T”.
Golden Pursuit Rewards
The ESO Golden Pursuits will include rewards such as Crown Crates, Costumes, Pets, Mounts, Currencies, Meals and much more. It looks like the rewards will be Crown Store items that have been available at some point in the past. We expect the rewards to be themed to the active campaign. On the Public Test Server we saw a New Moon, Ayleid and scalecaller Crown Crates and their rewards. The Crown Crates were not preview crates, but the real deal instead.
You can earn rewards in three different ways; completing individual activities and milestones in addition to getting the final capstone reward. Read below what rewards we can expect:
