ESO Scribing Skill Tier List – Best Scribing Skills
Welcome to the ESO Scribing Skill Tier List where you will find out what the best Scribing Skills and Scripts are! Read the full ESO Scribing Guide to learn everything about the Scribing System, the Luminary Wing questlines and where you can get all the Scripts.
Each Grimoire has around 300 combinations you can create and all the Scripts and Grimoires have over 4000 combinations total in the ESO Scribing system so you can understand everyone will have different opinions on what the best skills are. This ESO Scribing Skill Tier List is considering the use case for each effect and how it can help multiple builds.
Important: Feel free to create any skill you like and if you feel it is useful for your character and you like it, then it is a good skill. This list is made to showcase what scribed skill combinations are currently extremely useful and a great addition to many different builds.
This list is being updated throughout the Gold Road Chapter launch.

1. Warding Contingency (tank/healer)
An AOE damage shield that absorbs 5345 damage for 8 seconds that also reduces the damage you and your allies take by 8% in addition to granting Minor Protection. Very useful in trials

2. Leashing Soul (tank)
Single target magicka pull that taunts your targeted enemy, restores 1000 Magicka and Stamina and reduces enemy damage. You can use this when you don’t want to uses stamina with a skill like Silver Leash. Note that other ranged taunts can be reflected and the enemy does not get taunted but this skill can not be reflected.

3. Dazing Explosion (tank/healer)
A great source of AOE Minor Brittle for trash in Dungeons/Trials either for your Tank or your Healer to use. Change the other effects based on your groups needs.

4. Shocking Soul (pvp)
You can use Shocking Souls as your new spammable skill as it does Shocking damage in addition to Oblivion damage over time and reduces the damage your enemies make. Recommended by PvP Player Decimus. Make sure to have plenty of filled Soul Gems with you as the skill consumes them!

5. Leashing Burst (tank)An AOE pull that slows down enemies and gives you 15% magicka and Stamina Recovery. Great for controlling a large amount of enemies, for example trash pulls in dungeons.
