Stunning Beauty Colossus Overview
Stunning Beauty is a normal difficulty colossus. The recommended level for this boss fight is Level 22.
Remember that if your party sustains more than three deaths or the timer runs out, you will fail the Colossus fight. Therefore, preparation is important – Void Intercept Battles can be difficult, especially for newer players.
Stunning Beauty’s attacks deal Electric damage, so it’s strongly recommended to equip at least one Module to your Descendant to give Electric Resistance. You should also have a couple of other defensive Modules that give bonuses to stats like Max Health, Shield or DEF.
You should also try to optimise your attacks for fighting Stunning Beauty. She is resistant to Lightning and Fire damage, so avoid using those damage types as much as possible. She is very weak to Toxic damage. You can add Modules to your weapons to add Toxic ATK to your shots, which will help to increase your DPS when attacking Stunning Beauty.
Remember to revive fallen allies if possible. If you can do this before their timer runs out, they won’t die, and you can avoid increasing the death counter. But don’t be too reckless with reviving, either – it’s pointless taking a huge risk and getting yourself killed as well unless you’re on your last death and the revive timer is about to run out.
We will now cover the specifics of the Stunning Beauty Void Intercept Battle in The First Descendant, including the attack patterns and mechanics of the Stunning Beauty Colossus.
Stunning Beauty Mechanics – The First Descendant
Stunning Beauty has the following mechanics and attacks to watch out for:
King Fishers – These are additional enemies that will spawn into the fight. They resemble bladed spinning tops that follow players and deal damage if they get too close. They drop ammo and HP pickups when destroyed, so be sure to destroy a few to keep an ample supply of pickups and to stop them from becoming too numerous.
Teleport – Stunning Beauty often teleports around the arena. There’s nothing you can do about this, it’s just a minor annoyance.
Lightning Orbs – Stunning Beauty launches a barrage of large, blue orbs in all directions. These land in a wide area, dealing heavy damage to anyone who gets hit. They move slowly enough that you should be able to react and run or dodge out of the way. This is only dangerous if you’re not paying attention, so keep an eye on the boss at all times.
Missile Barrage – Stunning Beauty launches three missile barrages at players. These move very quickly, so you need to rapidly take cover or dodge when it happens.
Lightning Spears – Stunning Beauty levitates, then launches several bright blue spears at players. Try not to be directly hit by these. They leave a lingering electric area on the ground for a few seconds after landing, so make sure to stay clear.
Shrapnel Blast – Stunning Beauty fires shotgun-style blasts from her arms that spread out in a wide cone. The further away you are, the easier it is to avoid them. Standing behind or to the side of the boss also keeps you safe from this attack, but if you’re in front of her and in close range, this can be dangerous.
Blue Eye – Stunning Beauty turns gold and becomes immune to damage. When this happens, you should immediately begin running for cover, as a very dangerous mechanic is about to happen. She then raises a huge blue eye in the air, and you will see a similar blue eye floating above your character. What this is indicating is that you will take damage if the boss can see you. The eye above your character turns gold when the damage is about to hit. If you don’t hide in time, you will take a pulse of heavy damage. Stunning Beauty will keep channelling this effect for some time, so you need to keep lying low. Players who don’t hide will quickly take fatal damage, you can survive two or three hits from this mechanic but more than that is likely to be too much. The eye is a Weak Point, so you can duck out of cover to take quick shots at it for bonus damage, but don’t do this for more than a couple of seconds at a time! Remember, when the eye above your character turns gold, you’re about to be hit.
Lightning Strikes – Players who are hidden during the Blue Eye mechanic instead get a small blue AOE placed at their current position. You have a couple of seconds to move out before you are hit by heavy lightning damage. This makes it difficult to resurrect players even if they crawl to cover, so everyone must be very careful when these mechanics happen.
Most of the mechanics and attacks of Stunning Beauty are simple; while they hit hard, they are easy to avoid. What sets Stunning Beauty apart from Grave Walker is the Blue Eye mechanic – if players don’t know how it works and don’t figure it out quickly, this will likely fail the mission, as you only need three party member deaths to be kicked out of the Void Intercept Battle.
As an aside, remember to press TAB to highlight the boss’ weak points, allowing you to deal extra damage and momentarily stun the boss when you destroy the weak points.
