How to Play Yujin in the First Descendant
The First Descendant Yujin is best played as a support character. He is the strongest healer in the game currently and can provide a tremendous amount of healing to the group. Not only that, he can also buff allies by giving them damage mitigation and his revive speed is significantly faster than other Descendants. When Yujin resurrects someone, they also revive with max HP.
Yujin can also debuff enemies by reducing their DEF, thus increasing the overall group DPS. Yujin can also summon a recovery drone that attaches to allies and heals them. The drone will also buff the allies ATK power.
Yujins ultimate skill is Hyperreactive Healing Ground that heals himself and allies that stand in the big healing circle. It also purges allies of debuffs and gives them immunity from them. While standing inside the Healing Ground Yujin gets increased ATK and skill power.
Overall, Yujin isn’t really needed in early and mid game because players don’t really need heals. He becomes better in hard content where you have to rely on heals versus tough enemies and bosses.

Descendant Modules for our Yujin Build in TFD
In this section, we will explain the recommended Descendant Modules for this Yujin Build in the First Descendant.
Important! When equipping Modules on Yujin, make sure that as many modules as possible are in a slot with a matching icon (top left corner on tooltip). This will half their Module Capacity Cost.
Your Module Capacity Cost limits how many modules you can equip, and can be upgraded as you level up your character. Different modules have a different Capacity Cost, which generally depends on how powerful the Module is. This is a balancing system to prevent players from only equipping the strongest modules and having a totally overpowered character.

Best Weapons & Weapon Mods for our Yujin Build
In this section, we will explain the best weapons for our The First Descendant Yujin Build and the ideal weapon mods for them.
We recommend using the following weapon for Yujin in the First Descendant:
Thunder Cage – Submachine Gun
The Thunder Cage Submachine Gun is an Ultimate weapon. The firearm emits an electric shockwave that creates the appearance of thunder being directed at the enemy.
Thunder Cage Description:
When defeating an enemy, the defeated enemy has a set chance to discharge Electric Shockwave that deals Additional Damage to nearby enemies.
Basic Info
Reload Speed: -20%
Electric Shockwave
Trigger Rate : 60%
Damage Range: 3 meter radius
Additional Damage: Firearm Damage x 150%
This is a high DPS weapon with a quick fire-rate. It suits Yujin’s Build very well in The First Descendant.
We are using the following weapons mods for the Thunder Cage Weapon:
Hawk-Eye – Improves your Accuracy
Reload Concentration – Reloading is quicker, and Firearm Critical Damage is improved
Rifling Reinforcement – Significantly improves your Firearm Attack
Concentrate Support Ammo – You get more rounds per magazine, and slightly more Firearm Critical Hit Damage

Marksman – Improves Firearm Critical Hit Rate, and slightly improves Attack
Weak Point Control – Improves Weak Point Damage and Recoil

Best Reactor Stats for The First Descendant Yujin Build
Your Reactor is a very important item that determines your skill damage and can also include extra modifiers that buff certain aspects of your build. The better your Reactor is, the more damage your skills will deal to enemies.
We recommend prioritizing using a Reactor with a high Skill Power and Sub Attack Power. Secondly, look out for a Reactor that buffs Fusion and/or Non-Attribute skills, as most of Yujin’s skills fall into these categories. After that, look out for Reactors with a boost to your Skill Critical Hit Damage, which will improve the amount of damage dealt when you land a critical hit.
Another thing to look out for is an Optimization Condition that you can easily fulfill with your Yujin build. For example, certain reactors require an equipped Submachine Gun to meet the Optimization Condition. Meeting the condition increases the Skill Power of your reactor, so it’s important to meet this whenever possible.
The name of a reactor can be determined by the following. For example a reactor with the name Tingling in it means it is good for anything that deals Electric damage.
Name
Type
Tingling
Electric
Burning
Fire
Toxic
Toxic
Frozen
Chill
Materialized
Non-Attribute
Mechanics
Tech
Singularity
Singular
Mixture
Fusion
Phase
Dimension
The First Descendant Yujin’s attribute is Non-Attribute and his skills use the following types:
Singular (Solidarity Healing, Stimulant Spray)
Fusion (Restructure Serum, Hyperreactive Healing Ground)
That means you want to pick a reactor with the following names:
Materialized Mixture: Boost to Non-Attribute and Fusion type
Materialized Singularity: Boost to Non-Attribute and Singular type
Our The First Descendant Yujin Build focuses on the big healing AoE Hyperreactive Healing Ground. Therefore, we want to select a Materialized Mixture reactor. However, any will do until you have a proper version of a reactor!
External Components
Finally, we have the best External Components for the Yujin build in the First Descendant.
With your External Components, you will be somewhat subject to RNG, at least until you’ve played the game for long enough to find basically every possible combination with good stat rolls.
In general, we recommend prioritizing components with the following stats:
Max Shield
Max HP
HP Recovery
DEF
Yujin’s Story in The First Descendant
The First Descendant Yujin, a doctor at Albion’s only civilian hospital, found himself serving as a medic on the battlefield, where life always hangs in the balance, all because of his mother. After declaring her own intent to serve as a medic, she also submitted an application to HQ on his behalf.
Yujin wanted to scream in frustration over his enlistment, which was decided upon without his consent. Given his nature as being particularly lazy and quick-tempered, he was hardly the type to embrace military life earnestly. His mother always disapproved of this about her son, which often led to countless arguments. It would get to the point where even Medical Corps Captain Gley would throw her hands up in resignation while trying to mediate.
“Then you treat ’em, mom. Nothing I do seems to satisfy you anyway. I don’t see why I should bother saving those who have no hope. I’m not sure why I have to make that much of an effort!”
As soon as Yujin finished speaking, he was met with a hard slap. “Because you’re a doctor! It’s your job to save people until the very end!” Just as he was about to respond, his mother hurried away upon hearing news of Vespers force casualties flooding in. After the argument and the slap, Yujin was initially silent but soon felt overwhelmed with regret when his anger faded. He decided he would apologize when his mother returned. However, he learned that his mother, as well as the medical unit members, had become casualties as well and rushed out to the battlefield.
He didn’t want to live the rest of his life without apologizing. Despite their daily quarrels, he loved his mother dearly. Losing her was unimaginable. When Yujin reached the battlefield, he found his mother on the verge of death. He sobbed uncontrollably and begged her to hold on, saying that he’d treat her right away. Through this, his mother imparts her final words to him.
“My child, I know it’s hard on you… Still, you must do all you can for your patients… until their last moments.”
After leaving these last words, Yujin’s mother passed away. Yujin stayed up all night crying. That night he wrote up the report that all except those who were kidnapped by the Vulgus had died, including his mother, who had died in his arms. He vowed never to give up on those who wished to live. This vow was tested when his commander, Gley, returned after being missing for 100 days. She had been used as a Vulgus experiment and was struggling wildly.
Yujin, in the process of physically restraining her, sustained four broken ribs. Yet, he didn’t give up. Holding Gley’s blood-soaked hand, he asserted, “Commander! We’re the Medical Corps. We can’t give up until the very end!” At his words, Gley calmed down, and Yujin’s warm Arche filled the walls of the closed ward. Driven by his intense desire to save a life, his healing capabilities reached their full potential in that moment.
