Welcome to our Greenmage Wizard Build for Solasta 2.

The Greenmage is a Wizard subclass in Solasta II. This guide will explain how to create a powerful Greenmage Wizard build, including the best weapons, armour, spells, ability distribution, skills, and more.

Wizard Class Overview – Solasta 2

Wizards spend their lives studying magic, learning more and more powerful and wondrous spells. Despite their weakness in physical combat, their magical abilities make them dangerous foes.

Here is what your Wizard will start with at Level 1 in Solasta II:

  • Weapon Proficiencies – Daggers, Darts, Quarterstaves, Light Crossbows
  • Armour Proficiencies – None
  • Saving Throw Proficiencies – Intelligence & Wisdom
  • Skill Proficiencies – Choose 2 from Arcana, History, Insight, Investigation, Medicine, Religion
  • Spellcasting – You can cast spells and cantrips from the Wizard spell list. You will unlock more powerful spells as you level up.
  • Ritual Casting – You can cast a spell as a ritual if it has the ritual tag and you have it in your spellbook. The spell doesn’t need to be prepared.
  • Magical Crafting – You can scribe magic scrolls and use enchanting equipment.

Greenmage Subclass – Solasta II

Greenmages are the heirs to the ancient traditions of the sylvan elves. They are wardens of the forest, specialized in nature magic and also reliable bowmen, trained to survive without spells if need be – as they had to in the wake of the Cataclysm.

Your Greenmage subclass will grant you the following additional features as you level up.

Level 2

  • Green Magic – Spells from the Green Magic list are considered wizard spells for you.
  • Smithing – You are trained to craft basic ammunition with Smith’s Tools: arrows and bolts.
  • Warden of the Forest
    • Proficiency: Light armor.
    • Proficiency: Shortbow.
    • Fighting Style: Archery.
    • Natural Explorer: You benefit from the same advantages as Rangers when in a forest environment.

Level 6

  • Entangling Shot – Your arrow can transform into a vine on impact. The target must make a Strength saving throw or be restrained until the end of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1). All uses recharge at the end of a Long Rest.

Level 10

  • Leaf Scales – When an attacker that you can see hits you with a ranged attack or spell, you can use your reaction to halve the attack’s damage against you.

Level 14

  • Weakening Entangling Shot – When you hit a target with your Entangling Shot, the target has disadvantage on all saving throws until the end of your next turn.

Greenmage Wizard Build Levelling Up Guide – Solasta 2

In this section, we’ll explain what your Greenmage Wizard will unlock at each level and the best choices to make when levelling up.

Level 2

  • Arcane Recovery – When you complete a Short Rest, recover expended spell slots numbering half your Wizard Level (rounded up), up to Fifth Level Spell Slots. Only once per day.
  • Subclass – Choose which subclass your Wizard will use. Choose the Greenmage.
  • Green Magic – Spells from the Green Magic list are considered wizard spells for you.
  • Smithing – You are trained to craft basic ammunition with Smith’s Tools: arrows and bolts.
  • Warden of the Forest
    • Proficiency: Light armor.
    • Proficiency: Shortbow.
