ESO Tamriel Tomes Challenges

Tamriel Tomes Challenges are the only way to earn Tome Points in ESO’s battle pass system. You get five new weekly challenges every week and a handful of seasonal challenges that run for longer stretches throughout each Season.

This page lists every confirmed Tamriel Tomes challenge, including Tome Point values, how many times each challenge can be claimed and where to go to complete them. The list is updated as new challenges are confirmed on live servers.

How ESO Tamriel Tomes Challenges Work

You receive 5 weekly challenges each week. New challenges are added every Tuesday at the weekly reset. Incomplete challenges carry over from week to week, up to a maximum of 12 active at any one time. If you do not like a challenge, you can reroll it. You get 5 free rerolls per week (maximum 12 stored). Additional rerolls beyond that cost gold. You can check the exact reset time for your timezone on the ESO Timers page.

Weekly Challenges

You can think of these like Weekly Endeavours that stack.

5 new weekly challenges are added at weekly reset time and don’t disappear until the Season ends.
You max out at 12 challenges, meaning when the weekly timer resets, those 5 new ones are lost if you didn’t complete the previous ones.
Each challenge has a set number of Tome Point claims available (ranging from 1 to 6).
- Example: “Discover 5 Lorebooks” Challenge can be done 6 times, each claim giving you 70 Tome Points (420 total).
Tome Point rewards per claim range from 60 to 525 depending on difficulty
You receive 5 free rerolls per week to swap challenges you do not want to do or try to get higher Tome Point value challenges.
- You can not reroll a challenge if you’ve claimed Tome Points from it already.
- Rerolls stack up to 12. You can pay for additional rerolls.

Seasonal Challenges

Tied to specific events or themes within the season
Generally award more Tome Points per completion than weekly challenges
Introduced at different points during the season.
Seasonal challenges cannot be rerolled

Challenge Tips

Reroll low-value challenges.

Weekly challenges range from 60 to 525 Tome Points per claim, but the total value depends on how many claims a challenge has. Check the claims column in the table above and reroll low-total challenges for a chance at something worth more. For example:

A 60 Tome Point challenge with 6 claims is worth 360 total
A 200 Tome Point challenge with 3 claims is worth 600 total.

Pin your active challenges.

Pressing E on a challenge adds it to your HUD so you can track progress without opening the Tome screen.

ESO Plus Bonus for ESO Tome Challenges

Tamriel Tome benefits

ESO Plus members earn 10% more Tome Points from all weekly and seasonal challenges. This bonus is visible in-game on the Tome screen as “Current Bonus: 10%.”

ESO Plus members also receive one Cache of Tome Points (containing 2,000 points) and one Premium Tome Token for every month of their subscription. After collecting 12 tokens you can redeem them for a free Premium + Bonuses Tamriel Tome.
