A real-time damage analytics window
Vermilion tracks where your damage actually goes:
Damage that landed on enemy health.
Damage swallowed by the enemy’s shields.
Then it combines them into a single metric: EOS, and breaks your output down by skill line, by outcome, and by crit live, in one window. It’s the crimson twin of Verdant.
This is a public beta (0.8.0). It works, and it’s been tested in real fights, but feedback is very welcome while it matures.
Metrics
eDPS Effective Damage Per Second. Damage that landed on the enemy’s health.
ShDPS Shield Damage Per Second. Your damage is absorbed by an enemy’s damage shields.
EOS Effective Output Score. eDPS + ShDPS combined. Shown live in the window header.
Views
Cycle with the arrows on the window:
SKILL your damage stacked and colored by source: class lines, weapons, guilds, status effects, item procs.
OUTCOME eDPS (landing on health) vs ShDPS (eaten by shields), so you can see how much of your output is actually dropping HP.
CRIT your landed damage split into a non-critical base and a critical cap, scaled so the crit ratio reads at full resolution.

Skill colors & Unknown Contributions
Vermilion classifies each hit by its class/skill line and colors it accordingly. The handful of hits it can’t place (some set procs, generic-icon enchants) land in a gray ■ bucket.
An Unknown Contributions window lets you tag those gray hits to the right group live, with no reload your tags persist across sessions.

Settings
The gear icon on the window opens the panel.
Sampling rate 1 to 10 Hz in 1 Hz steps (how often the graph takes a sample)
Time window how much combat history the graph holds (default 1 min)
Viewport alpha graph background transparency
Recommended values
The defaults work for most setups:
Sampling rate 12 Hz is plenty for combat analysis.
Time window 13 min covers most fights.
Careful with extreme values. A high sampling rate combined with a long time window makes the graph hold thousands of samples and can cost FPS in busy fights the window warns you in chat when a combination gets heavy. The defaults are safe. If you see a drop, lower Sampling rate first, then Time window 😉
Usage
Type /vermilion to toggle the window, or /vermilion help for the list. A keybinding is available under Controls → Vermilion. A movable floating logo button can also toggle it.

Notes
No addon or library dependencies.
Per-server settings EU, NA, and PTS are kept separate for the same @account.
Some abilities aren’t recognized yet, so you may see gray ■ segments. Use the Unknown Contributions window to tag them, or wait for the classifier to improve.
This is a beta.
