Weapon Core Unlocking Guide – The First Descendant

Once you have unlocked the core slots for your Ultimate Weapon, you can select cores and add them to your weapon.
Each core slot has a designated type that you need to equip the core augmentation items that need to match. Each weapon has one or two undesignated types that allow you to flexibly select whatever you want.

How To Equip Weapon Cores in The First Descendant
You can equip core items to Ultimate Weapons that had their Cores unlocked. When you equip a core item, the option is determined according to the assigned core type. Core items have Tiers. They are marked in Roman numerals (e.g., I, II, III, etc.) and the higher the tier, the better effects they have. Each option has a set value range according to the core item’s tier, and the value is given within the range.
You may also overwrite a Core item already equipped to a slot with another Core item. However, this process requires a “Core Particle Disruptor.” When overwriting a Core item, you may choose from the existing effects and changes effects. However, the Core item and Core Particle Disruptor will still be consumed even if you decide to keep the existing effect.
- Core item needs to fit the assigned core type.
- Core items have Tiers )I, II, III, etc).
- Higher Tier core items are stronger (obviously).
- You can overwrite already assigned core items.
- Core Particle Disrupter is needed to overwrite core items.
