Does Soulframe Have Fast Travel?

Soulframe is an early access RPG with an ever-growing open-world map to explore. Since important locations such as Faction Enclaves, bosses and dungeons can be quite widely dispersed across the map, new players often find themselves searching for a fast travel function.
In this quick guide, we’ll look at fast travel in Soulframe and the quickest ways to traverse the map.
Soulframe Fast Travel
When we talk about Fast Travel in a conventional sense, it typically refers to either the unrestricted type seen in TES IV: Skyrim, where a player can travel from their current location to any discovered location, or the more restricted version used by games like The Witcher 3, which works similarly but restricts travel to and from discovered signposts.
Unfortunately, Soulframe doesn’t have either of these systems, and the developers have previously stated that they have no intention to change this. While that might change in the future, it is troublesome for some players who don’t want to spend hours running around the map.
It is planned for mounts to be added to Soulframe in a future update to speed up travel, but this hasn’t been implemented yet.
So, is there anything we can do to move around Soulframe’s world more quickly?
Fast Travel Workarounds
There are a couple of things you can do to get around Soulframe’s lack of Fast Travel.
- Teleport to a player – This is also called a “taxi” by many Soulframe players. When you join another player’s group, you are automatically teleported to their current location. You can safely leave the group and stay in the new location. You can often get a taxi by just asking in the in-game chat.
- Orengall Wolf Form – The Orengall Pact allows you to temporarily project your soul in the form of a large wolf. While in wolf form, you can run significantly faster. This effect is temporary, and you need to perform an attack before it expires (even if you just attack the empty air). Once you perform an attack, your human body will be teleported to the new location. If you don’t perform an attack before this arcanic expires, you’ll be teleported back to your original position!
- Crypt of the Circade – While there are several entrances to the Crypt of the Circade, when exiting the Crypt, you will always emerge close to the Crypt entrance near the centre of the map. Since the Crypt is quite short, you can use this to travel quite quickly. But there aren’t many crypt entrances, so depending on your starting location, this might not be too useful.
- Other Dungeons – This is by far the least reliable method. Dungeons such as the Undercity and the Glades of Andurin have several potential exits dotted around the map. You can enter a dungeon and speedrun to the exit to emerge in a new location. There is no way of controlling which exit you will emerge from, so this method is only useful for new players who are exploring the map for the first time.
If we discover additional methods for travelling quickly in Soulframe, we will add them to this list.
