Top Five Best Weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
In this quick guide, we will be looking at the five best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Using these weapons in your loadout will give you an edge over your opponents in Black Ops 7. These weapon choices are both easy to use and powerful, so even new players can have a great time with them.
We have listed the top five in reverse order.
Table of Contents:
- 5 – Jäger 45 Pistol
- 4 – MXR-17 Assault Rifle
- 3 – M8A1 Marksman Rifle
- 2 – M15 Mod 0 Assault Rifle
- 1 – Dravec 45 SMG
5 – Jäger 45 Pistol

The Jäger 45 is a semi-automatic pistol, and might be the strongest secondary weapon in Black Ops 7. It has a fast fire rate and low recoil, making it perfect for close-range combat.
Combine it with the Hawker Ion Barrel and Monolithic Suppressor attachments to increase your damage and range. Throw in a Capacity Mag to increase the number of rounds per magazine, and you have a dangerous sidearm that can surprise opponents at close to mid range.
Whether you use this as a backup for situations when your main weapon runs out of ammo, or you just enjoy fighting with smaller weapons for the fun of it, the Jäger 45 is an excellent choice for this weapon slot.
4 – MXR-17 Assault Rifle

An automatic assault rifle boasting excellent range, accuracy and damage, the MXR-17 is perfect for mid to long range encounters, but tends to be outperformed by smaller and faster guns at close range.
The most skilled players in Call of Duty games tend to utilize rapid movement, firing while on the go. Despite its accuracy, the MXR-17 admittedly isn’t the best fit for players who prefer a mobile playstyle, being much more well-suited to players who prefer to fire deadly barrages from behind cover.
However, you can make the MXR-17 more suited to a mobile playstyle with the right attachments. Most notably, the Aria Assail Grip increases the speed at which you can aim down your sight, as well as firing speed while diving or sliding. If you don’t use dive or slide much, then you can go with the Celerity Grip instead, which focuses entirely on Aim Down Sight speed.
3 – M8A1 Marksman Rifle

The M8A1 is a returning weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops, previously seen in Black Ops 3. In that game it was classified as an assault rifle, but it is now classed as a marksman rifle. The M8A1 is characterised by its rapid four-round burst fire, giving you excellent odds in one-on-one encounters.
The downside is that the burst cooldown is considerable, so you are quite vulnerable if your first burst isn’t on point or if you have to fight multiple players in quick succession.
Using attachments to improve your accuracy will help you to ensure you don’t waste your bursts. You can use the Schmidt Trapper Rear Grip and the RL-5.56 Brake to help with this.
2 – M15 Mod 0 Assault Rifle

A fully automatic assault rifle, the M15 is a versatile all-rounder. While it is especially proficient in mid-range combat, it works very well at close range thanks to its quick fire rate. While it doesn’t excel at anything in particular, the M15 is simply “good enough” for almost every situation in Black Ops 7.
This weapon is great for beginners because it offers a middle-ground between all playstyles and specialties. Proper setup makes the M15 even more effective.
For example, you can use the Bowen Watchtower Barrel to increase the M15’s range and the Ironhold Angled Grip to reduce your recoil. Make sure you choose Dexterity for your Tier 3 perk to increase the weapon’s stability and allow you to aim down your sight when sliding, diving and wall jumping. It takes some practice, but learning to aim and fire effectively while performing these maneuvers will give you an edge over most players in the game, and a properly set up M15 is one of the best weapons for the job.
1 – Dravec 45 SMG

Despite being a submachine gun, the Dravec 45 has demonstrated high stability and remarkable efficacy at medium and long range. It is fully automatic and offers good mobility, all of which give the weapon awesome versatility, similar to the M15.
It is quite difficult to find any weaknesses with the Dravec 45 based on what we’ve seen so far. This comes with the caveat that this gun’s dominant performance during the beta test makes it the most likely candidate for a nerf when the full game is released on November 14th.
But if it stays the same or similar to how it was in the beta, then you might want to add a red dot sight like the Lethal Tools ELO to help you aim at distant targets. Your other attachments should probably be geared towards further increasing the Dravec’s stability and mobility, and reducing the recoil. But it depends on your playstyle.
We hope you liked this top five weapons list for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
