How to Unlock the Arche Tuning System in The First Descendant

Arche Tuning Guide The First Descendant

To use the Arche Tuning System in The First Descendant, you need Arche Tuning, which is acquired by increasing your Unique Arche Factor level. This level increases as you obtain and accumulate Unique Arche Factor EXP, which can be earned through various in-game content.

Some of the primary sources of Unique Arche Factor EXP include:

  • Normal Sigma Sector
  • High-risk Sigma Sector
  • Mission of the Day: High-risk Sigma Sector
  • Void Erosion
  • Void Vessel: Hard
  • 400% Infiltration Operation

Accessing the Arche Tuning System in The First Descendant

Players can access the Arche Tuning System either through the Inventory Menu or at the Prime Hands in The First Descendant. This system operates on a Descendant Group basis, meaning that all members of the same Descendant Group share the same Arche Tuning status and receive equal benefits.

Within this framework, only Normal and Ultimate versions of the same Descendant are considered a single Descendant Group. If a group initially consists of only the Normal version of a Descendant, acquiring its Ultimate counterpart will automatically merge it into the same group, ensuring the effects remain consistent across both versions.

  • Access Arche Tuning from Inventory or Prime Hands.
  • Normal and Ultimate versions of a Descendant are grouped together.
  • Upgrading from Normal to Ultimate merges them into the same group.

Arche Tuning System Mechanics

The Arche Tuning System in The First Descendant is structured around Nodes, each of which has a Tier that determines the strength of its applied effect. To activate a Node, Arche Tuning is required, and a Node cannot be activated without it.

Activation follows a sequential process where only the Nodes closest to the Tuning Starting Point can be activated first. Nodes that are available for activation will be visually distinguished, making it easier to identify which ones can be unlocked. However, Nodes can only be activated if they are directly adjacent to an already activated Node, ensuring a strategic and progressive approach to tuning.

  • Nodes determine the strength of effects based on Tier.
  • Arche Tuning is required to activate Nodes.
  • You can only activate adjacent Nodes in a sequential manner.

Resetting Nodes in the Arche Tuning System

Players have the flexibility to reset activated Nodes whenever needed in The First Descendant. This can be done on an individual basis or through a Full Reset, which resets all activated Nodes at once. When resetting a Node, the Arche Tuning that was used for its activation is fully refunded, allowing players to reallocate resources and adjust their build as necessary.

  • Nodes can be reset individually or via Full Reset.
  • Resetting refunds the Arche Tuning used for activation.
  • Adjusting Nodes allows players to experiment with different builds.

Loadouts and Presets

To facilitate customization, the Arche Tuning System in The First Descendant supports multiple loadouts and presets. Players are provided with a total of three loadout slots, allowing them to switch between different configurations based on their preferred playstyle or specific combat situations.

Additionally, a dedicated Arche Tuning slot is included within Presets, ensuring that a player’s current Arche Tuning setup is saved alongside their preset loadout. Whenever a Preset is loaded, the corresponding Arche Tuning setup that was active at the time of saving will also be applied, making it easier to adapt to different scenarios without the need for manual adjustments.

  • Three loadout slots allow for quick switching.
  • Presets store your current Arche Tuning setup.
  • Switching Presets automatically applies the saved Arche Tuning loadout.
