Barbarian Class Overview – Solasta 2

The Solasta II Barbarians are fierce warriors from the edge of civilization. Their battle rage makes them dangerous combatants.

Here is an overview of what your Barbarian can do at the start of the game in Solasta II:

  • Weapon Proficiencies – Simple Weapons & Martial Weapons
  • Armor Proficiencies – Light Armor, Medium Armor, Shields
  • Saving Throw Proficiencies – Strength, Constitution
  • Skills – Any 2 from Animal Handling, Athletics, Intimidation, Nature, Perception and Survival
  • Barbarian Actions:
    • Rage – Enter a rage as a Bonus Action. Grants advantage on Strength Saves and Checks, +2 bonus to melee attack damage, resistance to slashing, bludgeoning and piercing damage. Rage lasts for 1 minute, or ends early if you haven’t attacked or been damage since your last turn. You get 2 rages per Long Rest.
  • Barbarian Passives:
    • Unarmoured Defence – When you’re not wearing armor, your armor class becomes (10 + Dexterity Modifier + Constitution Modifier). This benefit still applies if you’re using a Sheild.

Path of the Berserker Subclass – Solasta 2

The Path of the Berserker is a path of untrammeled fury, slick with blood. As you enter the berserker’s rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being.

Your Berserker subclass will grant you the following additional features as you level up.

Level 3

  • Frenzy – You can go into a Frenzy when you Rage. If you do so, for the duration of your Rage, you can make an extra weapon attack each turn using a Bonus Action. When your Rage ends, you suffer one level of exhaustion unless you make a DC10 Constitution Saving Throw. The DC increases by 5 each time you use the extra attack during your Frenzy.

Level 6

  • Mindless Rage – You can’t be Charmed or Frightened while Raging.

Level 10

  • Intimidating Presence – Frighten a creature until the end of your next turn if it fails a Wisdom Saving Throw opposed by your Charisma.

Level 14

  • Retaliation – Whenever an enemy attacks you from a nearby cell, you can use your Reaction to perform an immediate melee attack against that enemy.

Berserker Barbarian Build Levelling Up Guide – Solasta 2

In this section, we’ll explain what your Berserker Barbarian will unlock at each level and the best choices to make when levelling up.

Level 2

  • Reckless Attack – Before you make your first attack on your turn, you can opt to attack recklessly. This gives you an Advantage on melee weapon attacks that use Strength, but all Attack Rolls against you will have an Advantage, too. Lasts until your next turn.
  • Danger Sense – You have Advantage on Dexterity Saving Throws against spells and effects, unless you are Blinded or Incapacitated.

Level 3

  • +1 Rage Charge – You can now Rage 3 times per Long Rest
  • Barbarian Subclass – Select the Berserker subclass.
This is the primary defining feature of the Berserker subclass.

Level 4

  • Feat – Choose between increasing an Ability Score or gaining a Feat.

Level 5

  • Extra Attack – You can attack one more time per combat turn when you use the attack or shove actions.
  • Fast Movement – Your Movement Speed is increased by 2 cells if you are not wearing Heavy Armour.

Level 6

  • +1 Rage Charge – You can now Rage 4 times per Long Rest
  • Mindless Rage – You can’t be Charmed or Frightened while Raging.

Level 7

  • Feral Instinct – You have Advantage on Initiative Rolls. If you are Surprised at the beginning of combat, you can still act normally on your first turn, as long as you enter Rage before doing anything else.

Level 8

  • Feat – Choose between increasing an Ability Score or gaining a Feat.

Level 9

  • Brutal Critical – You roll an additional weapon damage die when you land a Critical Hit
  • Additional Rage Damage – Your bonus Rage Damage is increased from 2 to 3.

Level 10

  • Intimidating Presence – Frighten a creature until the end of your next turn if it fails a Wisdom Saving Throw opposed by your Charisma.

Level 11

  • Relentless Rage – If you drop to 0 HP while raging and don’t die outright, you can make a DC 10 Constitution Saving Throw. If you succeed, you drop to 1 HP instead of being downed. Each time you do this, the DC increases by +5. Every time you use Short or Long Rest, the DC resets to 10.

Level 12

  • +1 Rage Charge – You can now Rage 5 times per Long Rest
  • Feat – Choose between increasing an Ability Score or gaining a Feat

Level 14

  • Retaliation – Whenever an enemy attacks you from a nearby cell, you can use your Reaction to perform an immediate melee attack against that enemy.

Level 15

  • Persistent Rage – Your Rage only ends if you fall unconscious or you choose to end it.
