Park Heejin Skill Overview – SL Arise Overdrive
Here is an overview of Park Heejin’s skills in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, and how to use them.
Basic Skills
Dim Wind
Heejin releases a sharp gust of wind.
A basic light attack, Dim Wind deals a modest amount of AoE damage and staggers enemies. Dim Wind has a very short range – it is effectively a melee skill, so don’t try to use it when kiting.
Air Ball
Heejin unleashes concentrated swirls of wind that chase the enemy.
This is Heejin’s heavy attack – press C to activate it. This is a projectile that locks onto the target, damaging and knocking them over when it hits. It is ideal for long-range use and allows Park Heejin to kite bosses while still doing consistent damage, when needed.
Wind Shear
Heejin creates a gust of wind around her that pulls enemies in.
Press Q to activate Wind Shear. This is an AoE skill that’s good for crowd controlling many enemies at once, but also has decent single-target damage. The stagger is pretty strong on this skill and works against some bosses.
Air Cutter
Heejin summons a blade of wind that rotates around her, reducing the skill’s cooldown with each hit.
Press E to activate Air Cutter. This is a really good AoE skill that is ideal for fighting against a large number of enemies. It’s not so good against bosses, but there’s no harm in using it during boss fights for a bit of extra damage.
Special Skills
Wind Blade
Heejin summons a blade of wind that rotates around the enemy. When attacking an enemy, the enemy’s Elemental Damage Taken temporarily increases.
Wind Blade is a Support Skill, which means it is only available when Heejin is supporting Sung Jinwoo, not when you are playing as her directly. It can be used when Sung Jinwoo uses a QTE Skill or when there are 3 or more normal monsters nearby. It works especially well with Elementalist Sung Jinwoo, since it will buff his damage output for a time.
Wind Vortex
QTE Skill. Heejin attacks the enemy by creating a gust of wind in front of herself and inflicts a random Elemental Reaction effect on the target.
Heejin automatically uses Wind Vortex when you switch to her with Left Shift when prompted. Make sure you are in a good position to make the attack connect before making the switch.
Wind Wave
Synchro Chain. Heejin unleashes a powerful cyclone in front of herself.
Wind Wave is Heejin’s Synchro Chain skill. She uses it when you press T (when prompted) to activate your Hunter party’s Synchro Chain; all Hunters in the party will then activate their Synchro Chain at the same time.
Wind Storm
Ultimate Skill. Heejin garhers the power of wind to summon a large typhoon, inflicting a random Elemental Reaction effect on the target.
Press R when your ultimate is charged to activate Wind Storm. This is a good ultimate for both single-target and AoE situations, and is great at staggering enemies.
Unique Skills
Dash Combo Attack
When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Dash, the user can use Dash Combo Attack.
Back Dash Combo Attack
When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Back Dash, the user can use Back Dash Combo Attack.
Deflect Combo Attack
When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Deflect, the user can use Deflect Combo Attack.
How to Play Park Heejin
Park Heejin is a very versatile mage in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE. She can do pretty much everything – fight in melee, fight at range, does good damage to single targets and in AoE. While not among the best damage dealers in the game, she is a great all-rounder and very rarely feels out of place or unhelpful.
In addition to her staggering wind magic, she can also stun enemies in place by continuously hitting them with her wind spells until they get the Erosion status, turning them to stone for a few seconds. Her ultimate also applies a random elemental effect, such as Nightmare or Cold Ice, so you can get extra stuns from this or just bonus damage over time.
Heejin’s Overdrive summons a gust of wind in front of her that does damage and inflicts a random Elemental effect. It also makes them more vulnerable to the same element. You can regain an Overdrive slot by inflicting the Erosion status. Make sure you have a bit of time and space before activating your Overdrive; if you get interrupted it can go to waste.
Park Heejin Skill Upgrade Priorities – SL Arise Overdrive

As mentioned above, Hunter skills in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE are split up into Basic Skills, Special Skills and Unique Skills. Of these, only Basic and Special Skills can be upgraded. The upgrades are done in groups – for example, you upgrade all Basic Skills at once, rather than upgrading the skills individually.
It is generally more important to upgrade the Basic Skills rather than the Special Skills, because the Basic Skills are used much more often (this group includes your Basic Attack, Heavy Attack and the skills activated by pressing Q or E). So if you have to make a choice between the two, always go for Basic Skills.
In practice, however, it is usually easier to upgrade them in a balanced manner, upgrading both groups to rank 2, then upgrading them both to rank 3, and so forth. This is because each tier is significantly more expensive than the last, so rushing a full set of Basic Skill upgrades usually isn’t possible unless you’ve played through the whole game without doing any upgrades.
