Baliwog Pearl Eyelets lead location
The Baliwog Pearl Eyelets lead for the Mad God’s Dancing Shoes Mythic drops from Carapace Cavern Delve Boss (Headcracker) in Solstice.
- Lead drop Location: Solstice, Carapace Cavern Delve Boss (Headcracker)
- Dig Zone: Solstice
Codex Entries for ESO Baliwog Pearl Eyelets lead:
Ugron gro-Thumog:Unusual material for shoe eyelets. Opalescent and energetically potent, I was surprised to see it holds a magicka charge in my standard intake tests. I’d bet Daedric in nature except I don’t know of any Daedra that make pearls.
Reginus Buca: Understandable miss on your part, my friend. The strange beasts of the Shivering Isles are rarely top of mind when we think of Oblivion. Check your references on the strange ecology the mad god has created in his Realm.
Ugron gro-Thumog: Well I’ll be. I’d never heard of a Grummite or a Baliwog before! Let alone anything about this maddening maturation cycle. The cultist that sought out their pearls to use as materials was dedicated, talented, and I’d guess not all together sane.
Comically Curled Toecap lead location
The Comically Curled Toecap lead for the Mad God’s Dancing Shoes Mythic drops from Vale of Revelry Delve Boss (The Wine Sommerlier) in Solstice.
- Lead drop Location: Solstice, Vale of Revelry Delve Boss (The Wine Sommerlier)
- Dig Zone: Solstice
Codex Entries for ESO Comically Curled Toecap lead:
Ugron gro-Thumog: This is ridiculous. I am a serious researcher, damn it all. What Jester’s Festival foppery is this toecap? This looks like the kind of thing Jester Queen Ayrenn would sell at a booth for the holiday.
Amalien: Ugron, you’re lucky I went digging at your desk for your notes on that Akavari artifact. This isn’t a holiday frippery, it’s made with Amberweave Cloth and was stitched by a madness metal needle. This is from the Shivering Isles!
Ugron gro-Thumog: Putting this in the context of the Mad God’s realm is a great discovery. Well done Amalien. My reading ties this toecap directly to Sheogorath himself, or perhaps a high level cultist. I’d bet it was used as part of a ceremonial outfit of some kind.
Gnarl-fiber Laces lead location
The Gnarl-fiber Laces lead for the Mad God’s Dancing Shoes Mythic drops from Deetra Grotto Public Dungeon Group Event (Captain Xiha) in Western Solstice.
- Lead drop Location: Solstice, Deetra Grotto Public Dungeon Group Event (Captain Xiha)
- Dig Zone: Solstice
Codex Entries for ESO Gnarl-fiber Laces lead:
Reginus Buca: Testing indicates these thick laces were made from a Daedric fiber, crafted from the bark of the Gnarl. That places its origin as the Shivering Isles. Why or to what end this was done, I haven’t a clue, but the business of cataloging carries on.
Reginus Buca: It’s been months since an item for catalog tried to kill me. Quite novel, this one, the laces crawled from their container and were trying to get up my nostrils when I woke and flung them across the room. Ugron talked me out of burning them
Amalien: I’ve taken over this catalog so that Reginus doesn’t burn yet another specimen. Tests have shown that the essence in these laces absolutely lives on. I’d wager that with hydration and nutrients a whole knew Gnarl could be grown from just these fibers.
Double-Moon Leather lead location
The Grummite Flesh Sole lead for the Mad God’s Dancing Shoes Mythic drops from Ruins of Tuniria World Boss (Gaulm) in Solstice.
- Lead drop Location: Solstice, Ruins of Tuniria World Boss (Gaulm)
- Dig Zone: Solstice
Codex Entries for ESO Double-Moon Leather lead:
Amalien: Oddities abound, here. The sole of a shoe, that much is obvious, but the material is extremely strange. Absolutely not cowhide. And the top of the sole, pressing up against the bottom of the foot, has numerous Daedric glyphs burned into the hide.
Verita Numida: This has sparked my curiosity, Amalien. Tests show it is proofed against all manner of Oblivion realm materials. Made with hide from some Daedric beast, and shaped by cruel claws. This is why I focus on things like first Empire trade routes. Much simpler.
Reginus Buca: We’ve had a run on artifacts from the Shivering Isles, so I took a leap. This is Grummite hide, a bipedal beast from Sheogorath’s realm. Did one being shape the flesh of another? Or, disturbing thought, did a Grummite shape its own flesh into this sole?
Hunger-leather Heel lead location
The Hunger-leather Heel lead for the Mad God’s Dancing Shoes Mythic currently has an unknown drop source.
- Lead drop Location: Unknown
- Dig Zone: Solstice
Codex Entries for ESO Hunger-leather Heel lead:
Amalien: An over-large heel made of thickly layered leather. I’m not sure what boot this would be appropriate for but the material here is resilient, almost magically so. My mind wanders to exotic materials, as it so often does. I will consult our samples.
Amalien: A Daedric creature called a Hunger donated its hide to the creation of this heel. My estimate is no less than three Hungers gave their hides to make this artifact. I’ve attempted to research anyone husbanding Hungers for materials and come up empty.
Verita Numida: What a unique discovery! In collaboration with Amalein I’ve found reports of a “Hunger farm” somewhere in the Shivering Isles. The means, methods, and rationale behind establishing such a facility is something I will continue to pursue.
