ESO Update 45 Skill Styles
Welcome to the ESO Update 45 Skill Styles Guide. Today we are going to take a look at all the ESO Skill Styles that are being added in the Update 45 including the Skill styles that come from the new Fallen Banners Dungeon DLC; Grand Healing, Sea Elf and Wall of Elements, Verdant Green.
We will showcase the styles, their requirements and how you complete them so you can add these skill styles to your collections! Furthermore we will explain which Skill Style requires which DLC and we include location maps for all of them. We also have location maps and pictures for all three Tomes for the “Tomes of Life Beyond Death” achievement.

All seven new Skill Styles in Update 45 and how to unlock them in ESO
ESO Update 45 introduces seven new Skill Styles. The new ESO skill styles are; Cleave, Arctic Blue, Entropy, Violet Purple, Grand Healing, Sea Elf, Regeneration, Lilac Purple, Snipe, Vibrant Yellow, Soul Trap, Carmine Red, Wall of Elements, Verdant Green.
Three styles—Cleave, Regeneration, and Snipe—are purchased directly from Maj al-Ragath using 20-40 Undaunted Keys. Two styles, Grand Healing and Wall of Elements, are earned by completing challenging achievements within the Fallen Banners Dungeon DLC. The Entropy style is unlocked by finding and reading three specific Mages Tomes scattered across base game delves, completing the “Tomes of Life Beyond Death” achievement. Lastly, the Soul Trap style requires you to complete Reaper Strikes devices. Detailed guides for each style, including locations and achievement requirements, can be found within the full guide.

Cleave, Arctic Blue Skill Style in ESO
ESO Cleave, Arctic Blue Skill Style
- Name: Cleave, Arctic Blue
- Skill Line: Two-Handed
- Applies to: Brawler, Carve, and Cleave
- Purchased from Maj al-Ragath for Undaunted Keys.
- Price: 20 Undaunted Keys
Cleave, Arctic Blue in ESO changes the color of your Two-Handed Cleave ability to a faint icy blue. Cleave is sometimes used in PVE content for AOE damage. To unlock the Cleave skill, you need to progress the Two-Handed skill line to rank 14.

Complete Daily Pledges to receive Undaunted Keys and buy the Cleave, Arctic Blue skill style from Maj al-Ragath for 20 Undaunted Keys. You can find Maj al-Ragath in ESO Undaunted Enclaves in: Deshaan, Mournhold, Grahtwood, Elden Root and Stormhaven, Wayrest.

Entropy, Violet Purple Skill Style in ESO
ESO Entropy, Violet Purple Skill Style
- Name: Entropy, Violet Purple
- Skill Line: Mages Guild
- Applies to: Degeneration, Entropy, and Structured Entropy
- Acquired by completing the “Tomes of Life Beyond Death” achievement.
Entropy, Violet Purple in ESO changes the color of your Mages Guild Entropy ability to a deep violet hue. Entropys morph Degeneration is sometimes used as a source of Major Brutality & Sorcery, other morphs are rarely used in ESO. To unlock the Entropy skill, you need to progress in the Mages Guild skill line to Rank 4.
How to get the Entropy, Violet Purple Style in ESO
Find a trio of priceless tomes that were lost on Mages Guild expeditions and complete completing the “Tomes of Life Beyond Death” achievement. All three tomes are inside base game delves near their entrances. Just read all three of them and you will be awarded with the Entropy, Violet Purple Style!

- ESO Thibaut’s Cairn Mage Tome is found next to the Thibaut’s Cairn delve entrance in Reaper’s March. The tome is next to a backpack on the ground in the first room after you enter the delve.
- ESO Shroud Hearth Barrow Mage Tome is found in first junction after entering the Shroud Hearth Barrow delve in The Rift. The tome is on the ground next to a backpack, soul gem and a skull.
Location maps for ESO Tomes of Life Beyond Death achievement
Here you will find maps for all the three Tome of Life Beyond Death locations in ESO. Picking up all of the Tomes awards you with the “Tomes of Life Beyond Death” achievement which grants you the Entropy, Violet Purple Skill Style in ESO.
Grand Healing, Sea Elf Skill Style in ESO
ESO Grand Healing, Sea Elf skill style
- Name: Grand Healing, Sea Elf
- Skill Line: Restoration Staff
- Applies to: Grand Healing, Healing Springs and Illustrious Healing
- Acquired by completing the “Lep Seclusa Challenger” achievement.
Grand Healing, Sea Elf Skill Style in ESO changes the appearance of your Restoration Staff’s Grand Healing ability and its morphs to Sea Elf themed effect. The visual changes are quite faint, as the Sea Elf Skill style adds watery distorting visuals and a splash sound when you cast Grand Healing. To unlock the base Grand Healing skill, you only have to kill an enemy with a Restoration Staff equipped as it is the first skill on that skill line.

Regeneration, Lilac Purple Skill Style in ESO
ESO Regeneration, Lilac Purple Skill Style
- Name: Regeneration, Lilac Purple
- Skill Line: Restoration Staff
- Applies to: Regeneration, Rapid Regeneration and Radiating Regeneration
- Purchased from Maj al-Ragath for Undaunted Keys.
- Price: 40 Undaunted Keys
Regeneration, Lilac Purple in ESO changes the visual effect of your Restoration Staff’s regeneration abilities to a soft, lilac purple hue. Regeneration provides healing over time and Rapid Regeneration morph is used extensively in both PvE and PvP. Whether you’re healing allies in trials or keeping your team alive in Cyrodiil, this stylish lilac purple effect adds a unique touch to your healing. To unlock the base Regeneration skill, you must level the Restoration Staff skill line to Rank 4.

Snipe, Vibrant Yellow in ESO changes the visual effect of your Bow’s snipe abilities to a bright, vibrant yellow. Snipe is a powerful ranged attack mostly used in PvP areas, providing significant damage from a distance. The change to yellow can be hard to see since most of the time you will be quite far away from your target. To unlock the base Snipe skill, you only have to kill an enemy with a Bow equipped as it is the first skill on that skill line.

Soul Trap, Carmine Red Skill Style in ESO
ESO Soul Trap, Carmine Red Skill style

- Applies to: Consuming Trap, Soul Splitting Trap, and Soul Trap
- Acquired by completing the “Skill Stylist: Soul Trap” achievement.
Soul Trap, Carmine Red Skill Style in ESO changes the appearance of your Soul Trap ability and its morphs to a vibrant, carmine red effect! The red visual is very easy to see as it is very bright and envelops your target/targets. Soul Trap skill is mainly used to fill soul gems. You don’t need to unlock the Soul Trap skill, as it is always available for your character without needing to spend a skill point.
How to get the Soul Trap, Carmine Red Style in ESO
Collect and use 10 fragments from Reaper’s Strikes events to be awarded the Skill Stylist: Soul Trap achievement. Reaper’s Strikes events have started to appear across Tamriels base game zones where Dark Fissures previously appeared (mini dolmens spawning Daedra & Dremora enemies). Seems the spots can spawn either the old Dark Fissures or the Reaper’s Strike events, sadly we were not able to spawn any Reaper’s Strikes Events nor acquire the fragments the Skill Stylist: Soul Trap achievement.
Base Game zones the ESO Reaper’s Strikes can happen are listed below. Reaper’s Strikes events can not spawn on starter zones.
- Aldmeri Dominion: Auridon, Grahtwood, Greenshade, Malabal Tor and Reaper’s March.
- Daggerfall Covenant: Glenumbra, Stormhaven, Rivenspire, Bangkorai and Alik’r Desert.
- Ebonheart Pact: Stonefalls, Deshaan, Shadowfen, Eastmarch, The Rift.

Wall of Elements, Verdant Green Skill Style in ESO
We were not able to apply this skill style to Wall of Elements on the Public Test Server, so a picture will be added after it is acquired on the live servers.

- Applies to: Wall of Elements, Unstable Wall of Elements and Elemental Blockade

Wall of Elements, Verdant Green Skill Style in ESO changes the appearance of your Destruction Staff’s Wall of Elements ability and its morphs to a verdant green themed effect. To unlock the base Wall of Elements skill, you must level the Destruction Staff skill line to Rank 4.
