Welcome to our Lim Tae-Gyu guide for Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE.
In this guide, we will explain how each one of Lim Tae-Gyu’s skills work and how best to use them. We will provide more general tips for how to get the most out of Lim Tae-Gyu.
We will also include a build guide for Lim Tae-Gyu. While Hunter builds aren’t as widely customisable as Sung Jinwoo, you can still customise your equipment and level up your skills. We’ll walk you through these so you can find the best items and prioritise the best skill upgrades first.
Please note that this guide is currently a work in progress. It will be updated over the course of Arise Overdrive’s early access period and following on from the full launch of the game.

Basic Skills
Dark Shot
Tae-Gyu fires an arrow imbued with the power of darkness.
Volley Fire
Heavy Attack. Tae-Gyu fires multiple arrows simultaneously.
Shoot and Maneuver
Tae-Gyu slides in the input direction while firing, triggering a Heavy Attack. This skill can be used up to 2 times.
Typhoon Fire
Tae-Gyu gathers powerful energy into an arrow and strikes. Significantly increases this skill’s Critical Hit Damage.
Special Skills
Heavy Attack: Typhoon Fire
Tae-Gyu gathers powerful energy into an arrow and strikes. When he attacks enemies, their Defense decreases temporarily.
Airborne Burst
QTE Skill. Tae-Gyu jumps into the air and shoots explosive arrows. Upon landing, he fires multiple arrows forward, increasing the Critical Hit Rate of the entire team for a long period of time.
Tactical Shot
Synchro Chain. Tae-Gyu slides forward while firing, leaps to fire an exploding arrow, then follows up with suppressive fire.
Quick Attack: Typhoon Fire
Ultimate Skill. Tae-Gyu spins once, adjusts his stance, and enters Sniper Mode. His Basic Attack changes to Quick Attack: Typhoon Fire, significantly increasing the Skill’s Critical Hit Damage. Max 8 Shots.
Unique Skills
Dash Combo Attack
When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Dash, the user can use Dash Combo Attack.
Back Dash Combo Attack
When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Back Dash, the user can use Back Dash Combo Attack.
Deflect Combo Attack
When tapping the Basic Attack Button after performing Deflect, the user can use Deflect Combo Attack.
