Monk Class Overview – Solasta II
Monks are disciplined practitioners of the martial arts who have learned to harness the energy flowing through their bodies and channel it either offensively or defensively.
Here is what your Monk will start the game with at Level 1:
- Weapon Proficiencies – Shortswords, Simple Weapons
- Armour Proficiencies – None
- Saving Throw Proficiencies – Strength, Dexterity
- Skill Proficiencies – Choose 2 from Acrobatics, Athletics, History, Insight, Religion, Stealth
- Unarmoured Defence – When you are not wearing armour and not using a shield, your Armour Class becomes (10 + Dexterity Modifier + Wisdom Modifier)
- Martial Arts – When not wearing armour, not wielding a shield and only wielding monk weapons, you gain the following benefits:
- Use Dexterity instead of Strength for Attack and Damage Rolls
- Roll a d4 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strike or monk weapon. This increases at levels 5 and 11.
- When you use the attack action with an unarmed strike or monk weapon, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Please note that “monk weapons” refers to weapons that your Monk is Proficient with.
