Welcome to the ESO Magicka Sorcerer PvP Build “Streak” for Elder Scrolls Online. Make sure to bookmark the link as I will keep updating the build for each new Update of ESO. The “Streak” Magsorc build is made for PvP and works in Cyrodiil and Battlegrounds. You can find more builds on our ESO Builds overview page.

The ESO Mag Sorc PVP Build has high burst damage while maintaining defense through shields and healing. Resource management will be easy to maintain because there is a lot of sustain already built into the setup.

We are using Crafty Alfiq and Bright-Throat’s Boast in combination with the Maw of the Infernal Monster set. Our total shield size is also over 20k thanks to Hardened Ward and Harness Magicka skills. If you are new to the game I recommend reading the Sorcerer Beginner Guide first alongside with a lot of other beginner guides.

Cyrodiil Setup ESO Magicka Sorcerer PVP Build

Now let’s take a look at how to create the ESO Magicka Sorcerer PVP Build. If you follow the guide closely you won’t have any trouble recreating the setup.

5x Crafty Alfiq, 5x Bright-Thrroat’s Boast, 2x Maw of the Infernal on a High Elf with Spring-Loaded Infusion buff food.

• Unbuffed: Out of combat, buff-food active
• Buffed: In combat, buff-food, Boundless Storm, Critical Surge, Weapon Damage Enchantment and Tri-Stat potion were active.

Nopw lets take a look at the equipment you want to run for the ESO Magsorc PVP Build. Most of it is focused on gaining more magicka that then increases our overall shields and damage.

Skills ESO Magsorc PVP Build

Skill explanation:

• Hardened Ward: This is your main defense, applies a huge shield to you that can absorb a lot of incoming damage. (Useful Guides: How do Shields Work?, How do Shields Scale?)
• Crystal Fragments: Only activate this when instant proc happens. The proc can happen if you press any of the other abilities on the front bar.
• Crushing Shock: Your main spammable, that has to be weaved with light attacks.
• Streak: Very powerful stun, can not be blocked or dodged, also deals decent damage. Can be used to escape tough situations.
• Haunting Curse: Very strong damage on one enemy, takes a while to explode but you can time your burst very well with this.
• Shooting Star: use this ultimate on an enemy and streak towards him, that way he can not block the impact hit.
• Dark Conversion: Restores Health and returns Magicka in trade for Stamina.
• Resolving Vigor: Your main heal over time. If you take damage mage sure to activate this heal. Costs stamina.
• Harness Magicka: Applies a big shield and also returns magicka when you get hit by a spell.
• Boundless Storm: Applies Major Resistances (Major Resolve), deals a bit of damage and gives you a speed buff for a short duration (Minor Expedition).
• Critical Surge: Every time you crit, you gain a lot of health, and must be activated all the time. Also, increases spell damage via Major Sorcery buff.
• Greater Storm Atronach: Can be used if you are fighting a single enemy, a very strong continuous attack.

Scribing Skills

The ESO Scribing System offers plenty of adjustable skills to add to our build. The scribing skill listed below can increase our survivability a bit.

Warding Contingency

Warding Contingency helps our survivability. You can place a rune on yourself and the rune will activate once you use a skill. This is great because it essentially pre-buffs us with an extra shield and damage mitigation for the start of combat.

Important Info for Magicka Sorcerer PvP Build

Buff-food

You have to make sure to use the Spring-Loaded Infusion drink buff food. Otherwise, the Bright-Throat Boast set won’t work. You can buy the recipe or the drink in the Guildstores in ESO.

Mundus Stone

We are using The Mage Mundus Stone with this setup to further increase our max magicka. Alternatively, you could also use THe Atronach to increase your magicka recovery. You can learn more about all the other Mundus Stones on the Mundus Stone Overview Page.

Resource Management for ESO Magsorc PVP Build

The setup already has a lot of Magicka Recovery built-in through Magicka Recovery glyphs on the jewelry.

Dark Conversion will allow you to trade Stamina for Health and Magicka, this is your main resource management tool.

Heavy Attacks are always a good way to restore resources, if you are doing a Heavy Attack on the Shock Staff bar. It is a lot easier and more reliable to connect to the enemy with a Shock Staff compared to a Fire Staff.

Potions are a must-have with every build, by activating a potion you will get a lot of buffs and a huge return on all your three resources, more about that in the potion section of the build.

In addition, if you struggle with sustain you can also always use The Atronach Mundus Stone, which increases Magicka Recovery further.

Battlegrounds Setup Magicka Sorcerer PVP Build

In Battlegrounds our sustain will be a bit harder, therefore we are going in on all Magicka Recovery glyphs on the Jewelry.
