Here is all the info you need to create a powerful The Last Dagger Build:
Note: High-Level Weapon Cores boost your weapons’ damage numbers into insanity. Make sure to get weapon cores as soon as possible!
Last Dagger Modules
Modules are an important part of every weapon build in The First Descendant. For the Last Dagger handgun we want to focus on getting a high fire rate, crit damage and weak point damage for single target damage.
- Serena & Gley: If you play Serena or Gley, you won’t need Firing Fiesta or any magazine-size extending modules.
- Flex Spots: I will indicate modules that you can replace with (Flex).
- Aiming: If you have problems with recoil and aim, replace Have Aiming with Focus Fire module.

Weapon Readjustment
You can use the Weapon Readjustment at the Weapon Workbench in Albion. Here are the best Weapon Readjustments for the Last Dagger:
- Firearm ATK
- Weak Point Damage
- Firearm Critical Hit Damage
- Firearm Critical Hit Rate
Try to upgrade the Weapon Readjustments to at least purple quality.
Weapon Cores
Weapon Cores juice up your damage quite tremendously. However, especially the later-level Weapon Cores are difficult to get. So start with whatever weapon cores you have available. Weapon Cores drop in the Void Erosion Purge endgame activity.
Higher level Weapon Cores drop in the higher level Void Erosion Purge levels in The First Descendant. However, you can gradually work towards the highest level. I recommend trying to get to level six as soon as possible, since it won’t require clearing many stages and will already increase the power of your weapon tremendously.
Best Weapon Cores for the Last Dagger:
Element ATK (Free Augmentation)
Firearm ATK (Firepower Augmentation)
Firearm ATK (Firepower Augmentation)
Fire Rate (Tactical Augmentation)
Fire Rate (Tactical Augmentation)
Bigger Magazine? You can replace Fire Rate with Rounds Per Magazine if you like a bigger magazine.
Fire Rate weapon cores are important on the Last Dagger Handgun. Additionally, you can swap out Chill ATK for any other attribute depending on enemy weaknesses!
The Last Dagger Handgun Lore
The Last Dagger is a handgun the Magisters had in their possession when they first joined Albion. Despite using small-caliber ammunition, it gained in power and popularity once electromagnetic acceleration barrel technology was applied to it. However, the reason this gun is called the Last Dagger is not attributed to its powerful nature.
The once-Vulgus Magisters were never battle forces, so there was no reason for them to possess such a powerful weapon. The final order the Magisters received was to succeed in fully eliminating each other if a situation ever arose in which their intellectual property was at risk of being seized by the enemy. Thus, the Last Dagger signifies the final death blow they were expected to carry out against themselves and their colleagues.
However, when the Magisters converted to the side of the humans, they completely altered the weapon’s meaning and succeeded in modifying it into a battlefield-ready weapon. There were no changes from its original form in terms of power and performance. However, changing the weapon’s fundamental meaning was a great challenge for the Magisters.
