Top 10 Best Perks in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Perks are a vital part of your loadout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. They allow you to customise your character’s abilities to better suit your playstyle, focusing on either offense, support or stealth.
In this guide, we will share our ten favorite Perks from Black Ops 7 and explain what each one is good for. We have listed the top ten in reverse order.
If you want more recommendations for Black Ops 7 loadouts, we also ranked the top five best weapons.
Table of Contents:
- 10 – Bruiser
- 9 – Looper
- 8 – Hunter’s Instinct
- 7 – Flak Jacket
- 6 – Ghost
- 5 – Ninja
- 4 – Tracker
- 3 – Lightweight
- 2 – Vigilance
- 1 – Dexterity
10 – Bruiser
Bruiser is an offense perk for the third slot.
When you kill an enemy in melee or use a finishing move, you replenish HP and gain some extra score.
This is a handy perk for players with a very aggressive close-quarters playstyle, as it potentially allows you to sustain several rush attacks in a row, replenishing your HP each time. But if you don’t use melee very often then this will be a wasteful perk for you. This is the very definition of situational, so we couldn’t rank it much higher than this.
9 – Looper
Looper is an offensive perk for the second slot.
This perk allows you to begin earning a new killstreak on the same life (after activating your accumulated killstreak), rather than only getting a reset when you die.
This is a perk that won’t be very useful to players who die a lot and struggle to amass large killstreaks. But if you’re quite good at the game and typically get at least one good killstreak per match, then you can get heaps of extra value out of this perk.
You should also recognise the limits of your own skills when using this perk. If you’re failing to save up for those expensive killstreaks reliably, then you can provide much more value to your team by repeatedly activating the much cheaper options like Scout Pulse, RC-XD and UAV.
8 – Hunter’s Instinct
An offensive perk for the second slot.
When you kill an enemy, Hunter’s Instinct will mark the closest enemy on your mini-map. This is great for knowing where the nearest threat (or your next target) is located.
Just be careful not to get mini-map tunnel vision, and remember that the highlighted enemy isn’t necessarily alone.
7 – Flak Jacket
Flak Jacket is a support perk for the first slot.
This perk has a very simple effect – you will take less damage from explosive and fire damage. Explosive damage, in particular, tends to be quite prevalent in multiplayer lobbies.
While it’s not very exciting and has no spectacular effects like some of the perks on this list, Flak Jacket can be the difference between life and death in a wide variety of encounters in Black Ops 7.
6 -Ghost
Ghost is a Stealth perk for the first slot.
With the Ghost perk, you cannot be detected by enemy Scout Pulse or UAV if you are moving, planting or defusing items or controlling score streaks. You also can’t be detected by Prox Alarm.
Getting killed when performing an action (especially controlling your killstreak item) can be frustrating. Ghost doesn’t completely prevent it from happening, but it makes it so that enemies won’t get any help tracking you down.
5 – Ninja
Ninja is a Stealth perk for the first slot.
When you have the Ninja perk equipped, your character moves more quietly. It will be harder for enemies to hear you and you won’t show up on the minimap as easily.
This simple perk is a strong choice for players who prefer a stealthy playstyle.
4 – Tracker
Tracker is a Stealth perk for the third perk slot. It allows you to see the approximate location of nearby enemies on your minimap.
When you aim down your sight at an enemy, you automatically ping them. Tracker is great for keeping track of targets and helping out your team.
3 – Lightweight
Lightweight is an Offense perk from the first perk slot.
It increases your movement speed and allows you to jump, slide and dive further. Your recover more quickly after performing slides and dives, allowing you to do it more often.
When using Lightweight in combination with the Dexterity perk (see below), your character will be extremely fast and agile. You will almost literally have a head start on your enemies because you can move so much faster than players who aren’t using these perks.
2 – Vigilance
Vigilance is a Stealth perk that goes in the second perk slot.
This perk displays an icon on your HUD to warn you when you’ve been detected by an enemy player (when you appear on their minimap). It also gives you immunity to CUAVs, and stops you from being tracked by enemies with the Vendetta perk.
If you favour a stealthy playstyle, the Vigilance perk has to be one of your foremost options. It makes it much harder for your opponents to track you, so you can slip away undetected.
1 – Dexterity
Dexterity is an Offense perk belonging in the third Perk slot.
It reduces your weapon sway and allows you to aim down your sight when you are sliding, diving or performing a wall jump. It also reduces the amount of fall damage you take.
Mastering a high-mobility playstyle, firing and jumping/sliding simultaneously is essential for cutting it with the best players in Black Ops 7 lobbies. Playing like this allows you to surprise and disorient less experienced players who will struggle to react in time, as long as your aim is decent. It takes some practice to play like this, so don’t worry if you don’t get it right every time. Regardless of your skill level, the Dexterity perk is absolutely essential for this playstyle and if it doesn’t get nerfed, it’s likely to be the most essential perk used by players in Black Ops 7 multiplayer.
