pabloco’s reticles (1.0.0)
pabloco’s reticles
An animated reticle for Elder Scrolls Online. Eleven designs, ten colorways, keyboard, mouse and gamepad.
Swap the stock crosshair for a reticle that moves with your combat. Its pieces turn, stretch and grow when you light attack, and change shape when you block. Pick a class design, pick a colorway, set the size and position, and you are done.
Designs
Dragon Knight: Embers – two ember arcs that bloom outward, and lengthen into a gold ring on block
Dragon Knight: Talons – four talons that clamp in, and sweep out into wing arches
Sorcerer: Storm – violet brackets and forking lightning
Sorcerer: Calm – the same look without the lightning, for a quieter reticle
Nightblade: Crescents – twin crescent blades that widen on attack and clamp shut on block
Templar: Sun – a gold diamond that flares into rays, and a sun halo on block
Warden: Leaves – leaf arcs that unfurl, and a frost shell on block
Necromancer: Scythes – twin scythe blades, thin and pale
Arcanist: Crux – a triangle that turns and swells, and a shell that closes around it on block
Special: Fire & Ice – fire arcs for offence, ice arcs for defence, built for hybrid characters
Special: Plain Dot – just a dot
Colorways
Every design can wear any colorway: Classic (each design’s own colors), Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Pink or White. A Warden in Cyan or Blue is a frost-only Warden. The Plain Dot turns the colorway’s color, or stays white in Classic and White.
Settings
Open them with /reticle (or /pabloco) or from Settings > Add-Ons.
Class and design, and colorway
Scale (25-300%), opacity (0-100%), and X / Y offset
Animate on click on or off, and hide the stock reticle on or off
Separate settings for each character, if you want a different reticle on each
A reticle and colorway for each Armory build, so loading a build switches your reticle (ESO does not say which build is active, so the addon remembers the last one you loaded or saved on that character)
Buttons to preview the attack and block animations
Controls
Keyboard and mouse: the left mouse button plays the attack animation and the right mouse button plays the block animation, for as long as you hold them.
Gamepad: the block animation follows your real block state. Light attacks play a short pulse on every swing, even when nothing is in front of you, and a heavy attack holds the animation while it charges and lets go on release. The pad does not read the triggers directly, because ESO does not allow addons to; it follows the game’s own attack events instead.
Requirements
LibAddonMenu-2.0 is required. All of the settings live in its menu, so without it you could not change the reticle.
Commands
/reticle or /pabloco – open the settings (if another addon already uses /reticle, /pabloco always works)
/pabloco test and /pabloco block (or /reticle test, /reticle block) – play the attack and block animations
/pabloco flip – reverse the direction pieces turn, if they look backwards on your setup
/pabloco help – the full list, including troubleshooting commands
Good to know
It hides the stock reticle, so it will fight other reticle replacements. Use only one at a time, or untick Hide the stock reticle in the settings.
English only. Console is not supported.
The preview images on this page are renders of the designs, not in-game screenshots.
