Feliks’ Companion Gear Hunter
BETA – this is an early release. Most of it has been tested thoroughly in-game, but a few parts (mail attachment, trade window and NPC vendor markers) have had little live testing. Please report anything that looks wrong.
Required AI disclosure: This addon’s code was written with the assistance of an AI (Claude). Almost every feature was verified against the live ESO client and in-game before release (see Known limitations for the few that have had less testing), and every API call was checked against the actual game client source. I did a detailed code review on the final files and tested the result extensively but did not write the code by hand myself.
Stop scrolling through a spreadsheet to remember what gear each companion still needs.
Feliks’ Companion Gear Hunter lets you record exactly what you’re hunting for – per companion, per gear slot: weight/weapon type, trait, and a minimum quality – then flags matching or upgrade-worthy items the moment you see them, right in the item’s own tooltip.
Features
A 12-row grid (one per companion gear slot) shows what’s currently equipped alongside a “Find” checkbox and dropdowns for the weight/type, trait, and minimum quality you’re hunting for
Pick any companion from the dropdown – the grid updates to that companion’s own equipped gear and wishlist
Off-Hand automatically hides itself for a companion currently wielding a two-handed weapon
Checking “Find” turns on matching for that slot; unchecking clears the criteria too, so re-enabling it later starts fresh instead of instantly matching stale settings
“Find” automatically unchecks itself once a companion’s equipped gear already satisfies it – one less thing to remember to turn off
Optional “Find Gear Quality Upgrades” – flags any item that’s the same weight/type…
