Unofficial Patch for NoResearchDupes
This is an unofficial update for the original NoResearchDupes addon created by @always.ada. Since the original project is free and open-source, I have updated the code to restore its functionality with the latest game features. All credits for the original concept and base code go entirely to the original author.
Why this update?
The original addon was incredibly useful, but it stopped working properly when using Universal Deconstruction assistants (like Giladil the Ragpicker) or the new Universal Deconstruction UI.
What’s fixed in this version:
Universal Deconstruction Compatibility: The addon now correctly hooks into assistants and all universal deconstruction tabs, even when the interface is loaded on a delay.
Smart Deconstruction Logic: The addon correctly maintains the intended logic. It prioritizes keeping lowest-quality and lowest-level items (White/Green) for your research timers, while darkening the magnifying glass icon on higher-quality duplicates (Blue/Purple). This ensures you can safely deconstruct valuable duplicates for upgrade materials (tempers, tannins, resins) without accidentally destroying the only piece you needed for research.
Installation
Install it like any standard addon. If you already have the original “NoResearchDupes” installed, please completely delete its folder or disable it in the AddOn menu to avoid conflicts.
