A Tribute to New World Players

With the closure of New World, many players who appreciate true action combat are migrating to Elder Scrolls Online. Transitioning between different combat systems can be challenging. I developed this addon to bridge that gap, providing a familiar camera mechanic to help New World veterans feel at home in ESO.

? How It Works
The mechanics are straightforward. While New World uses a dedicated aim button, this addon seamlessly adapts that feel to ESO’s combat.

Simply hold down your heavy attack button. As your character draws the bowstring, the camera automatically zooms in for precision aiming. Releasing the attack instantly snaps the camera back to your standard view. No additional keybinds are required.

Dynamic Combat Zoom: Hold heavy attack to zoom in. Release to snap back to maximum FOV immediately.
Smart Detection: Sprinting, dodging, blocking, or casting automatically resets your camera safely.
Customizable: Choose between First Person or Shoulder Aim (Action Camera).
Failsafe System: A built-in timer prevents the camera from getting stuck on missed combat logs.

! Requirements

LibAddonMenu 2.0 (Required for the settings menu to work properly).

+ Installation Guide

Download the .zip file.
Extract the “NWAimCam” folder.
Place the folder into your ESO AddOns directory (Usually: DocumentsElder Scrolls OnlineliveAddOns).
Ensure “LibAddonMenu 2.0” is downloaded and installed.
Log into the game, enable NWAimCam and LibAddonMenu 2.0, and you are ready to play!
