OBSOLETE (1.0)
Here Group
Here Group was created to answer one simple question:
“Is everyone here?”
Whether you’re coordinating multiple groups before an event, gathering everyone for a boss pull, or simply moving quickly from one objective to the next, it’s easy for someone to get left behind. Instead of constantly opening the map or trying to count names in the group list, Here Group keeps track for you.
The addon continuously checks your group and displays only the players who are outside your chosen radius. As soon as everyone is back within range, the window automatically disappears.
Features
Updates once per second.
Shows only players outside your selected radius.
Automatically sorts players from closest to farthest.
Yellow = Outside the selected radius.
Red = More than twice the selected radius.
Orange = Player is in a different zone. Their zone name is displayed instead of a distance.
When the center point has stopped moving for a few seconds, out-of-range players may show (moving closer) or (moving further) after their distance.
Movement notes are based only on recent distance changes and are not saved.
Short-lived movement history is kept in memory only and is automatically cleared.
Remembers the window position between sessions.
Click the X button to stop monitoring.
Can use either yourself or another group member as the center point.
If your selected anchor leaves the group, the addon automatically switches to YOU and lets you know in chat. If they rejoin, it automatically switches back.
Movement Notes
When the anchor/center point has been mostly still for a few seconds, Here Group compares each visible out-of-range member’s recent distance.
Examples:
@PlayerOne – 145 m (moving closer)
@PlayerTwo – 212 m (moving further)
@PlayerThree – 89 m
If the player is getting closer, (moving closer) is shown.
If the player is getting farther away, (moving further) is shown.
If their distance is mostly stable, no movement note is shown.
These movement notes only appear after the anchor has stopped moving briefly. This helps avoid misleading messages while the whole group is running together.
Commands
/here
Starts monitoring using your last selected radius (default 100 meters) centered on YOU.
/here 50
Starts monitoring using a 50 meter radius centered on YOU.
/here 50 @AccountName
Uses the specified group member as the center point instead of yourself.
/here off
Stops monitoring and hides the window.
Window Title
The title always shows who is being used as the center point and the current radius.
Examples:
Here Group YOU – Radius 100m
Here Group @PLAYERNAME – Radius 50m
I originally wrote this addon because I frequently found myself asking, “Is everyone here?” while leading or participating in group content. It’s particularly useful for coordinating multiple groups, gathering before encounters, or moving rapidly through a zone without having to stop and scan the map to see if someone has fallen behind.
