# Rhythmos – Combat Overhaul for ESO
Rhythmos is a combat overhaul for ESO that introduces a 2.5 seconds global Skill Cooldown, slowing down combat pacing for a more deliberate experience inspired by classic MMORPG combat design. The addon features attack commitment offering an immersive alternative to classical weaving by blocking skill input right after an attack is triggered to reduce animation cancelling significantly.
This creates a different playstyle. Grounded. Slower Paced. Deliberate. Rhythmic.
Rhythmos builds upon a combat rhythm that already exists naturally within ESO’s core mechanics. Weapon attacks in ESO follow a timing-based cadence where attacks chain together most smoothly through deliberately timed input rather than constant button spam.
While weaving techniques often accelerate this natural flow, Rhythmos is designed to bring that underlying combat cadence back into focus and extend it consistently across skill usage. Players now combine skills and Weapon Attacks with deliberate decision to achieve powerful combos and rotations.
Instead of weaving rapid attacks between abilities, players activate skills in sync with combat timings, creating a more grounded and readable combat experience while still remaining connected to ESO’s original action combat foundation.

# Installation
Install the addon either through Minion or manually.
## Manual Installation
1. Download the Rhythmos .zip file
2. Extract or unzip the archive
3. Place the “Rhythmos” folder directly into your ESO AddOns directory
Default AddOns folder location:
DocumentsElder Scrolls OnlineliveAddOns
The final folder structure should look like this:

4. Install the required dependency:
LibAddonMenu-2.0
5. Start the game and enable the addon in the AddOns menu.
Important:
For technical reasons, “Double Tap to Dodge” must be disabled for Rhythmos to function correctly.
You can disable it here:
Settings → Gameplay → Combat → Double Tap to Dodge → OFF
This ensures proper synchronization of dodge roll timing and combat action locks.

Rhythmos includes several optional customization settings:

Accessibility pulse mode with stronger visuals

Reset to recommended default values at any time
The default timing configuration is tuned around the natural combo timing windows already present within ESO’s weapon combat system.
Custom timings are mainly intended for experimentation and advanced users.

# Author Notes
Rhythmos was created as an alternative combat experience for ESO players who prefer a more deliberate, grounded and immersive combat style.
Its goal is to create a slower and more immersive experience by reducing the emphasis on rapid animation cancelling and high-frequency input pacing. This allows players to focus more on the atmosphere of ESO, the weight of combat and the moment-to-moment decisions made during the heat of battle in one of the most beautifully crafted MMORPG worlds ever created.
The goal is not to replace ESO’s combat identity, but embrace it fully to offer a different style of gameplay focused on timing, commitment and of course: rhythm.
